I was the centre of attraction, well why wouldn't I be? I was flying just a minute ago.
"And then I woke up with a startle! It was a dream!"
I wish that I could say these words. Unfortunately, all that did happen. I did not know what would happen to me. Just like any other normal person who could fly would assume, I assumed the government would come for me and then open me up and do all sorts of experiments on me, which was not a very appealing thought. Maybe I should runaway (or I could fly-away but then again I was scared of heights so maybe not). I wished I had gotten a better super power like being super fast or controlling things with the power of my mind, even being able to communicate with animals would not be as bad as being able to fly.
My heartbeat starts going off the roof even if I just think about flying. The thought of soaring the vast skies made me want to go into a corner and curl up in a ball. I stopped my mind into going into the dark holes of fear, I had to focus on what was going on around me first. After evaluating a thorough plan in my mind I ran away from the school compound like a screaming idiot(that was not a part of my plan whatsoever).
My eyes were shut very tight and yes I know running with eyes closed is not the smartest decision. To my surprise I did not bump into anyone or anything which was odd as i was running blindly in a school compound full of children. I opened my eyes and I regretted doing so, I was fucking flying. I was several hundred feet above the ground. My acrophobia started acting up and I started screaming once again and I was not proud of it. I lost what little control of my power I had which was really easy since I did not like it or even know how I got it.
The world below me was spinning or maybe it was just my head. I landed on the ground with a bone jarring thud. I was quite far from school, I may have hated the path but I liked where I was (far away from anything else)
I decided I was not going to run back home because apparently it triggered my flying abilities so I walked instead. Everything around me was normal, which seemed odd because I had something abnormal in me, the world hadn't changed a tiniest bit to reflect that abnormality in me. Finally, I could see my home, I picked up my pace as I all but ran towards it. The door was unlocked which was very weird. I walked in. My mother was talking to a couple of guys in black suits. They had Bluetooth ear pieces and carried a gun. They had to be government agents. My mom flipped of when she saw me.
"Why are you not in school right now Sky! Answer me now!", my mom exclaimed.
She was in her mid forties relatively tall. She had brown hair and dark brown eyes.
"I am not bunking. T-t-there was an accident in the school. Some guy fell from the top floor after the railing broke off. They sent us back", I replied.
I wasn't very accustomed to lying. My mother did not ask any other questions.
"Go back to your room sky", she said.
She resumed talking to the agents(or so I thought). They looked me right in the eye as I went back to my room, almost as if they knew everything about me.
