~4 weeks before~
"Mikona what are you doing! You'll fall!" Kaitolo yelled when he saw me climbing Charana. Charana is the great old oak that sits in the corner of the court yard at Mrs. Shimoaras. I was nearly to the top of it when Kaitolo saw me.
"But I'm almost to the top. Then I'll fly down. Like I'm supposed to."I responded rasply while out of breath.
"Mrs. Shimoara wont be happy about this. She always says that our abilities are dangerous and have no right to be in this world. You must come down before someone sees and tells on you!" He said looking behind him quickly.
"I think it maybe to late for that idea" I say as I point to a girl that is running towards Mrs. Shimoara's office. "She seems to have it covered so can I fly now?" I say looking back at Kaitolo who is still in shock.
"Mikona get down! NOW!" Say a thundering voice coming from the direction where the girl had ran.
"Here we go again." I whisper to myself. Yippee.

Kaitolo was excused early because Ms. Shimoara saw nothing he was doing wrong. She actually praised him for telling me to get down and that our "abilities are dangerous and have no right to be in this world"!!!!! I couldn't believe it! I mean seriously he has powers to! Why would he even think to say something like that let alone mean it!
Wait. Come to think of it what is Kaitolo's powers? He never uses them and he's never told me.
First I'm going to get out of this place.
Second I'm going to know Kaitolo's power.
Well this one actually took me a while I had to figure out how to come back strong. Sorry it's so short. I hope this path will turn out great.
