Drifting pt.2

.....I Raced to the hospital. Nurses were everywhere. I knew how much Maddy hated hospitals so this must've been hell for her right now. I walked up to the counter where a not so friendly nurse looked up at me from her glasses. "Can I help you?" She asked flipping through files. "Uh.. Yea..I mean yes is a Madison Lopez admitted here?" I asked. She typed Maddys name in the computer. "Ahh yes shes in room 509 on the left wing of the hospital. "Thank you so much." I ran towards the elevator i could here the rest of them following behind me but I didn't have the patience to wait for them they would have to take another elevator. As soon as I found her room i almost collapsed at the sight of her. She was weak and paler then usual. There's only one thing that i could think that happened. Its starting again they said it would never come back. I lost it right there i didn't care that the guys were watching me cry I just wanted her to be healthy. I sat in the corner chair sobbing. "Mario." I just barely heard. I stood up and sat next to her. "Maddy oh my god." She smiled a little before winching. This time I could tell it came back worse. "Im okay don't worry." She touched my cheek. I held her hand, thinking of something before she broke my train of thought. " hey mario. Remember that song you use to sing to me when i got sick." She smiled faintly. Showing her adorable dimples. "The A team  of course." I slightly laughed rubbing her arm. The Nurse walked in "Im sorry Mr.Selman but your going to have to leave in 10 minutes miss.Lopez needs all the rest she can get before her kemo tomorrow." The nurse turned and walked away.  I felt a shake from under my hand maddy looked so scared. Shes gone through a lot especially now that her cancer has came back. "Mario no matter what happens I want you to be happy. Find a girl get married have a couple kids." She smiled up at me through her tears. "Maddy don't talk like that your a fighter I know you'll make it." I squeezed her hand lightly.

"Sorry to interrupt Mario we have to go Maddy's parents want to talk to her." Jovani  said through the curtain. I don't want to leave her but what can I do I get up from the bed. "Wait. Can you sing it to me?" I couldn't say no to her shes always had that hold on me not that i minded now I would switch places with her any day just so I don't have to see her suffer. "Sure." I smiled sitting beside her on the little bed. ".....to fly to fly for angels to die." I kissed her forehead . "I love you Madison." I whispered before leaving.

******3 years Later*****
"Hey guys how are you doing tonight."  The host asked."Welcome to the 2019 Grammys Im Nash Grier  your  host and lets get started!" First category is "Best Male Actor! And the award goes to......MARIO SELMAN for strong fighter!" Cat practically jumps out of her seat i give her and my mom a hug before going on stage. "Thank you guys i want to thank the fans who supported this. my family and most importantly the amazing woman who's story this is. Madison Lopez was a real person and my best friend we had our ups and downs but she smiled through everything she passed away from Lung Cancer on December 20, 2016 she once told me to follow my dream of becoming an actor. after she passed i could barely think about eating but I know she wouldn't want me to stay at home so i thank you especially Maddy I love you." I didn't realize I was crying but this was Maddy's moment not mine im so proud that people got to see a glimpse of the amazing person I grew to knew and Love.
