Jai:
Jai crumbled up the letter and threw it to the side and started to curse the world. He hid up in the tree house looking through the old photo albums that Nicole had told him about; then moving to the video tapes of the mini-skits they would do with Mia and the little performances they'd do in the basement for Mia and his parents.
He told himself he wasn't going to cry. . .
Diana:
She didn't sleep or eat for three days. Grades got low and she was ending up with more and more scars. She attempted suicide after she cried herself to sleep after those three days; but that last letter from Nicole held her back from it.
Diana convinced her parents to let her get Nicole's name tattooed on her forearm in fancy lettering to remind herself of what Nicole wanted for her.
Mason:
He went on a rampage and wouldn't talk to anyone who got near him. Mason didn't want to be bothered with or talk about what had made him upset.
All he had left was the flashdrive with pictures, videos, and word documents. One of which was labeled "Letters to be Printed"
Mia:
Being only 8 this was a little hard to understand. She asked her parents and Jai about it, but they all gave the same answer: We won't be seeing Nicole for a long long time.
As she grew up, she finally understood what happened to her cousin. Mia one day asked Jai about it, hoping he would tell the truth; instead he only grew angry and stormed off to his room every time Nicole's name was mentioned.
Luke:
He read through the letter over, over, and over. He couldn't believe what was written. Luke finally dropped the letter and started to cry.
Luke looked to his right. He could've sworn he felt someone put a hand on his shoulder. Instead he just saw a picture of him, Marc, and Nicole playing on the tire. He knew for a fact that it wasn't there before. His parents swore that it wasn't theirs.
