chapter 1

"You're amazing! Lilly Grace is the next big star!" Scooter yelled. He had just signed me to his record label!
I smiled and looked through the glass into the room where he was sitting, and saw a boy who looked about my age.
I walked out of the door and into the room where scooter was, and scooter hugged me.
I laughed and hugged him back.
"Thank you so much. This means so much to me you have nooo idea!" I said.
"You're amazing! How could I not sign you?" I laughed and smiled again.
Scooter walked away and the boy approached me.
"Hi, I'm Johnny Orlando." He smiled, reaching his hand out.
"I'm Lilly grace" I laughed.
"Yeah, you're amazing!" He said.
"Thank you so much" I smiled.
He smiled and looked down, then looked up into my eyes.
"What?" I asked, Laughing a little.
"Do you wanna...hang out later?" He asked nervously.
"Of course" I smiled again.
"I just gotta record one song and then I'll be done. Wanna stay and watch?" He asked.
"Uh, sure if I'm allowed" I said.
"Of course you're allowed" he laughed.
I laughed too.
"Johnny" scooter said.
Johnny walked into the recording room and I stood and watched him sing.
wow.
He's really good!
He smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Johnny's a sweet kid isn't he?" Scooter asked me.
"He really is" i replied before quickly focusing my attention back to Johnny.
"Cute, isn't he?" Scooter asked again.
"What?" I laughed.
"He's a cute boy" he said.
"I mean...I I guess so I don't know" I laughed.
Scooter laughed too and Johnny walked back into the room.
"So...what did you think?" He asked.
"You're...holy! You're great!" I said and laughed.
He smiled.
"So..where do you wanna go?" He asked.
"I don't care, wherever you want" I smiled.
"Wanna come back to my place and just like, chill for a bit?" He asked.
"Uh..yeah sure" I blushed.
"I see a new power couple on the way" a girl said.
"Lauren shut up" Johnny said hitting her.
"I'm Johnny's sister, Lauren" she smiled.
"And I'm his girlfriend, Mackenzie" another girl said.
"Oh, you're dating Mackenzie Ziegler?" I asked, faking a smile.
"Yeah, I mean I guess so" he laughed putting his arm around her.
I looked down at my phone and pretended to get a text.
"Oh my mom just texted, she said she's outside. I gotta go" I said before quickly running out the door and speed-walking home.
I walked upstairs and sat on my bed, then opened the musical.ly app.
I saw a lot of videos of Johnny and Mackenzie, so I just turned my phone off and decided to watch tv.
About halfway through my episode of "chasing cameron", my phone dinged.
It was a text from scooter.
"Hey, you left pretty quickly today, and left your guitar. Want me to drop it off on my way home?"
Damn. I mumbled.
I texted back.
"Yeah sure. Around what time will you be here?"
"About 5. That alright?"
I just replied "yes" and clicked my phone off again.
But I couldn't stop thinking about Johnny.
I barely even know the guy. Why can't I get my mind off of him?
