That day Marinette had made it to her new apartment to find Alya standing outside talking to Nino. She quickly apologized and offered to pay for dinner for the three. Of course they declined saying she probably had a busy day already and told her to take it easy as they left.
Now it was a week later and about two days before Chloe called and said that she had wanted to have the bridesmaids come in and have their measurements taken. They had arranged the time and Chloe told her that it was five bridesmaids. The bluenette was looking over the design when she heard a knock, though the person just opened the door without her saying to.
"We're here." Chloe called as she walked in with four others. She looked at the group. It consisted of Sabrina, Lila, Alya and a new person she didn't know. As if reading her mind Chloe spoke again. "This is Anais. She's a childhood friend." Marinette nodded and told the girls to line up so she could take their measurements. First she started with Sabrina, since she was the smallest. Then she moved onto Lila. Anais was next and then Alya. She had just got done measuring Chloe when a thought came to mind.
"I thought you had five?" She asked as she placed the measuring tape down. Chloe had went to grab her bag and gave Marinette a serious look.
"There is. One, two, three , four, five." She said as she pointed to the girls plus Marinette. "I can count." Chloe didn't make eye contact but Marinette knew that that was her way of asking her to be a bridesmaid. She let out a chuckle before motioning the group out.
"Are you sure you can't come with us?" her friend Alya asked.
"Sorry, I just got this job and I don't want any special privileges." She answered honestly. She knew Adrien would have let her leave but that would just be wrong on her part. Alya nodded in understandment before leaving with the rest of the girls. The other went back to her office and grabbed the measuring tape.
"Tikki, do you think you could help me out?" She called out to her kwami. She popped out from the draw that she was in and grabbed the tape, though it was hard for her tiny stubs to keep a grip on it.
She tried and tried with Tikki getting determined every time but then they heard a knock at the door causing Tikki to dropped the tape part and fly back in the desk. Without a 'come in' the person opened the door though it was a little so they could peek in. The person was her boss who had come to see what she was up to and honestly he was surprised to see a distraught Marinette with a bent measuring tape hanging from her side. He let out a chuckle before stepping in.
"Um, I was just trying to get my exact size, since Chloe asked me to be her bridesmaids." She said trying to explain the situation.
"Here. Let me help you." He said as he went over to her taking the tool. She just stood there and looked at him in awe. "Lift up your arms." He said told her. She did as she was told and he had bent down to take her waist measurement. She looked down at him and saw the concentration on his face. Next he stood up and his face showed a small blush. She looked at him confused.
"What?" She asked.
"Uh, could you turn around and lift your arms? So I could take your measurements?" He asked and that's when she had realized why he was blushing. She quickly turned around and closed her eyes. Adrien would know her three size. She felt the tape around her chest, though just how fast that it was there the faster it was gone. She sighed as she turned to Adrien. He wasn't making eye contact as he mumbled the numbers to her. It wasn't like he wasn't use to this, he had taken female measurements before. It was just the fact that he had known this person and he'd see her almost everyday.
"Uh, thanks Adrien." She said as she walked behind her desk.
"It was nothing." He quickly added. "So how's the project coming along?"
