Crimson's pov
I have been undercover ever since squid died. O is an okay ruled but you can't just murder a mayor of a town and not have people fighting back. Especially a town like TalonWood. People had freedom to do what they we want. They loved the mayor and would fight to the bitter end for their freedom. Under O, while they would be guaranteed safety and work, they wouldn't be able to choose how they do their chosen job, no more doing things on your own schedule as long as you get them done, the would have carfully planed schedules to fit what their supervisors want. The wouldn't be able to meet with each other for more than an hour. The would lose all write to even assist is stopping crime. So they started a rebellion. The chose me and my girlfriend to go undercover and gather information about the protocols. Today if the first public execution in forever. Normally his enemy's disappear do to "mysterious circumstances" overnight. We are order to line up and face the spike pit. The shock rods and guns they gave us are set to kill.
The cameras start up and the two prisoners are lead out. One is a young (you're gender) with only a sack over their head. The other is covered in Crystal plating covered in runes, and a steel helmet. O's second, Seth in command follows. "O is dead" he says. This alone sends ripples through the crowd. He ripples the helmet off the guy in Crystal. We see squid with his horns out and blue skin. He has blood running down his head but no wounds. Gasps cry out. Squid spits frost crystals at Seth. Seth drops a small doll and as the doll hits the ground the Crystal shatters revealing. Squid's tentacles and single blue butterfly wing which is normally concealed along with his horns with magic. The other guards and their guns at squid. "Watch out (your name)" Squid yells creating a cloud of blue fog. I hit the nearest two guards with the shock rod. The rest end up accidently shooting each other in the fog. This is what happens when I am the only non robotic guard. Then came the light...
