Chapter 3

Later that night...

While going home I felt strange. Usually that's normal but this time it wasn't. I felt cold. Like someone was watching me. I stop at a red light and sigh, waiting for it to turn green. "Could you be any slower?" I look around then I look up at my vanity mirror and my eyes widen. I quickly turn around and see nothing there but my book bag and some food from work. "I've finally gone crazy" I say to myself as I relax a bit. "For a second I thought that girl was back there." I chuckle a bit then it goes away as you think more about it. I look up and the light finally turns green. "Thank goodness." I say driving back home

Once I get back to my apartment door, my neighbor Josh came out to say hi. He's a real sweet guy but very shy and humble. I smile and say hello back to him. "So how are you [Y/N]?...you don't seem really happy like you usually do.." I nod and tell what happened today. He looks down and apologizes then asks me if I need anything. Of course I say no I'm fine. "Well if you need me I'm just a door away" I smile and say thanks then he goes back inside. I go inside my home then double lock the door. I stay in place for a few seconds just playing everything back in my head then shatter on the ground crying. I pick myself up then I step into the shower,close my eyes, and think about everything.

Mom can't go...I'm not ready for her to go...she doesn't deserve this! She has been there for everyone so why can't she be well? Shouldn't she just have good karma or somethin-

*CRASH*

I open my eyes and immediately get out to check what happened. I slowly look around my whole apartment. Finally opening my bedroom door. I gasp, "Oh my god!" I look down to see Ryden flipped his aquarium again. I smiles and pet his head then put him back in and get into a t-shirt and some night shorts. Going into the kitchen I grab a cup of [Your fav. Drink} and go back into my room to eat my food and watch some movies. The one that really made me interested was this one movie about a girl falling in love with her guardian angel. I'm not really one to enjoy romance movies but this one made me feel better. After the movie I go grab my book bag to find my pencils. For some some reason I couldn't find them anywhere. They all just went missing. The only thing that was in there was the book I got from the strange book store. I grab it and chuckle,"Yep. Some book,huh?" I throw the book on my bed and go into the kitchen to put away my dishes. When I came back the book was open. I didn't think much about it until I glanced at the chapter it was on,

Chapter 30: How to sell your soul

I pick up the book and look at Ryden. "Should be fun right?" He went inside his shell. "Yeah" I said smiling."I was thinking the same." I read the whole chapter. I just kept thinking this is ridiculous until the second to last paragraph. It said,

Many sell there souls for their family and loved ones. Those who sell their souls get a deal with the devil. The devil will do his side of the bargain. Then,you shall do yours.

Creepy as hell right? I wanted to close the book but all I could do was think about it. Finally I decided hey, it's a boring night anyway, why not? It's not like I have work in the morning. I read on and find the instructions. I need six candles, one dagger, one pentagram made of sand and a drop of blood for each candle. I go into my other closet to grab some sand I had from a party I went to a while ago. I couldn't find an dagger but found an exacta-knife and some candles my grandmother gave me before I moved out on my own. I set everything up in my room. I read the instructions again.

Turn all lights off then lock the door. Make the pentagram then circle the candles around it. You must sit in the middle. Then, after you light the candles you must chant the saying, "Vos librum legi.Amen dico vobis amicis " then say the saying while dropping blood on each candle
