YOU

My home isn't your average house with two or three bedrooms and a couple of bathrooms, no mine is a mansion, not one of those 200 story ones just a HUGE house that is probably the size of four houses put together.

That's not why I'm complaining though.

The truth is we used to be a normal family until my thirteenth birthday.

To be honest I kind of dislike my birthday now.

My parents were both employed into rich companies at the time and by the time of my birthday they had both some how managed to become the owners of the companies. On my thirteenth birthday we moved away from our humble little home into this place.

My parents never have time for me and are always overseas or at work.

They leave me stacks of money in my bank and sometimes mum fills my spare purse when she comes home and I'm at school.

We have butlers and maids but to be honest they don't really do much for company and companionship.

So I'm rich, sitting in a castle of isolation.

My parents don't really care about my education since they can get me any job I really want or honestly we have enough bucks to never have to work again but it just keeps pouring.

I know they would kill me if they knew I was spending some of it on weed and cigarettes, but that's life.

Plus my Mom smokes normal cigarettes so we are the same.

I sigh and approach the towering lit up house.

I opened the door and butlers instantly took my many bags up to my room while my personal maid trailed behind me to it. She is newer and around twenty or so, I don't really treat my maids and butlers mean so I asked Dad if she could be one of mine and he agreed. She over works though.

I sighed as she cleaned up my makeup and brushed my hair.

I decided to take a bath and try and ignore the weird nagging thought of Toby in my mind.

That stupid boy, why did he tamper with me it will get him in trouble.

I shrugged the thought out of my head and sat on my bed in my long pajamas.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Time seemed to fly and the Christmas holidays approached at a rapid speed.

Before I knew it my parents were home and crashing through the door.

It surprised me so much I dropped my glass of water and it shattered all over the ground.

My parents just chuckled and the maids rushed to clean it up. I was wearing my cat ears. My mum rushed over to me throwing her bags aside into the butlers arms and scooping me up, "these are sooo cute!" she said gesturing to my cat ears, I smiled, "I know right." My dad joined the hug, "how's my precious little girl going?" He teased. I smiled even brighter, "good!"

They separated from the hug. "Okay, go put on this dress, and get your maid to style your hair, we are going to a wedding in thirty minutes so hurry hurry," my Mom handed me a bag. I sighed and couldn't help but feel my heart drop a little. Of course they couldn't have come home for me.

I went up to my room and pulled the dress out of the bag. It was a beautiful golden gown with sparkles at the top.

(I don't usually put pictures in)

I slipped it on and let my maid style my hair, making sure to slip the cat ears in too

Then she did my make up and I padded downstairs to the hall.

My dad was in a tux with a gold tie and my mom was in another golden evening dress that was a little flashy. I guess the colour code was gold then.

My mom smiled at the sight of me and held up some gorgeous golden heels for me to wear. I slipped them on then they rushed me off into a limo outside.

It was kind of lonely traveling alone, my mom and dad were in a rush so they went in another one speeding off ahead for some reason.

I sighed, I'm not really one for looking like a normal rich girl.

Soon enough I arrived and stepped out, I made my way into the doors through the line.

"Who are you?" The man at the door deciding who was on the invite list asked. "(y/n) (l/n)," He looked up surprised, "oh miss (y/n) please come in, sorry for my rudeness." I'm not that fantastic but whatever. I rolled my eyes and strutted in, looking for my table or my parents. I found my table first so I just sat there looking around until someone approached me. "Miss (y/n) right?" a voice asked. I looked up to see my friend from the other day.

A smile broke out on my face. "What the hell Eliza!?" I pretended to punch her.

She pulled up a chair and I noticed she was wearing her cat ears headband too. "hey! twinsies!" I said gesturing to my own. She just laughed. Spending the evening with her made the waiting time pass easily. Before I knew it we were cheering the newly wedded couple off to their honeymoon.

My parents only stayed a couple of days before they rushed off again.

I was alone again.

Even though I looked fine on the outside, my days felt longer, every second was just another nagging thought.

Soon enough school was back, I was top again but it wasn't the same.

We were all older.

And some of the people we used to try and rid had actually left.

Including Toby but whatever I don't care.

I would find myself becoming more and more lost into the depths of my mind and the magic of cannabis.

I would just sit outside the school smoking until it was time to go home.

Until I was sick sometimes.

I groaned awakening from my restless sleep.

It had been another year since then and I had just turned seventeen a few weeks earlier.

Surprise, surprise, my parents didn't even send me a card, let alone come home.

I sighed and alerted the house I was going out with a note.

It was dark and late.

I was just wearing my white nightgown, it had thin straps and trailed down to my ankles.

I stepped out onto the cold street, sighing at the rush of air that hit my face.

I considered turning back for a jacket but dismissed the need.

I don't even recall putting shoes on.

Just aimlessly wandering down the cold path,

To where I was heading I have no idea.

All I remember was the bright flash of headlights, screeching of tires, the smell of burning rubber, an intense pain, a dreadful, loud crack and then it all went black.
