Deeper into the island is this grand arena which acts as the fully fitted and stocked training grounds for the clan. Members may bring their own weapons if they so wish. No younglings under the age of twelve are permitted on the battle grounds—they must stay behind the protective barrier on the spectator stands.
Decked with specialist equipment, there are three main areas:
•Melee combat area for sparring hand-to-hand, using martial arts, or with melee weapons. There are an assortment of enchanted training dummies present which can be made to block or even attack.
•Ranged combat area for shooting, whether by bow, gun, spear, or throwing blade. Moving dummies are available. Advanced members can even program them to shoot paintballs or arrows.
•Magical combat area for the practice of any offensive kind of magic. There is a closed off area bordered by runes that amplify magical energy but keeps it isolated to that area only. A selection of elemental dummies are available.Just outside the training grounds are the blacksmiths' area of trade. They provide all the practice weapons and dummies as well as weapon enhancement practices. Members are able to commission weapons from them, although it may take some time to complete.
The arena is also used for clan tournaments in which all the training areas are cleared and full-fledged battles can take place. The climate of the arena stage can be altered depending on the occasion. Water battles, blizzard battles, fire storms, practically anything.
