Once upon an imprint (a Seth Clearwater fanfic)

Ch 15

It was finally time for the fight with Victoria and her newborn vampire army. I was helping billy get some thins around so he could take Bella's father out. I was distracted as Seth and I had just had a pretty big fight over him actually going into battle. He really wanted to go fight but I didn't want to loose him. "You know your worries are valid sorina but he is a warrior he can't get out of fighting all the time." Billy suddenly said. "I thought I was the one who could read eyes?" I asked with a sigh. "Your an open book child. If your so worried go to Sam about it. As alpha he could force him to stay back. Protect the town incase any strays get through." Billy suggested. "He's already angry with me I told him that the other day and we haven't talked since then!" I exclaimed holding back tears. I felt so lost without Seth. "It will be alright sorina." Billy said. "I just can't loose him Billy after what happened to my family already I can't go through that again! " I said before breaking down Billy pulling my close and stroking my head gently.

*leah pov*
I was patrolling by Jacob and Billy's house making sure everything was alright when I caught sorina's voice exclaiming that she hadn't been talking with my brother. But her last sentence about not being able to loose him like she lost her family made me upset. I raced back to Sam blacking my mind incase the others tried snooping. I shifted into my human form and ran to Sam. I hated doing this but for some reason I found myself liking sorina. "SAM!" I shouted outside the house. "Yes?" He answered coming outside the rest of the pack following. "We need to talk just us two. It's important." I said strongly. "Alright come on. You all go in with Emily and stay there." Sam said commanding the others back inside. We walked a distance away before he turned and crossed his arms. "What is it Leah?" He asked. "Seth cannot go into this battle." I said simply. "Why not he may be young but.." "but his imprint begged him not to and she's at Billy's crying. She even asked him to just protect the town not for her. They haven't spoken in days Sam. I heard sorina tell Billy she couldn't loose Seth not so soon after her family. Please." I said cutting him off a dangerous thing to do to the alpha. "I see your point. Edward is taking Bella far away from the fight. He will need someone to keep tabs on what's happening. If I send Seth there he will be safe enough but still in tune with the fight. I had not missed that sorina had not been around lately but I thought she was reading those books the vampires found.." Sam said. "Thank you Sam." I said before he gave the signal as we both knew the others were watching.

They all tumbled outside. "What's happening?" "Is it the vampires?" "If it was would they have been out here talking?" "Silence!" Sam exclaimed effectively making everyone stop. "Change of plans, Seth will be staying with Edward and Bella during the fight." Sam said "what why? You said I could go into battle. This is so unfair!" Seth shouted. "It would be unfair to sorina if she lost you so soon after her family was massacred before her. Or did you forget that you have an imprint to think about as well?" I snapped. The others looked between Seth Sam and I before looking stunned at Seth. "Is that why I heard crying from my house when I stopped by my garage earlier?" Jacob asked suddenly. I watched as Seths face crumpled. "She didn't want me to fight. She wanted me to protect the town. I told her it was my job and left. I didn't realize." Seth said softly. "Yea well she's pretty heart broken. I over heard her tell Billy while I was on patrol "I just can't loose him, not with what happened to my family. I can't go through that again."" I shouted at my brother. "Sam may I go. I need to see sorina." Seth asked and Sam nodded and Seth raced off.

*seth pov*
I was an idiot. I should have remembered what happened to sorina in the past. I raced to Billy's and threw open the door. "Sorina?" I shouted painiced I had missed her. I almost missed her soft "here" before I ran in. The sight drove home what Leah told me. Her cheeks were tear stained as she sat wrapped in an old quilt on the floor. Billy sat in his chair glaring at me. "You best be here to apologize or else get out." Billy said sternly which shocked me. "Sorina I'm sorry. I didn't want to miss out on the fight but I should have thought of you. Leah heard you talking and Sam now has me out of the battle. I'm going with Edward and Bella. There will be other battles I can be in. Once your settled more." I said bowing my head. I didn't even hear her move but suddenly her small hand was on my cheek and her hazel eyes caught mine. "Thank you." Was all she said before nuzzling into me.
