"STOP!" a man shouted, "Don't do this."
"And why shouldn't I?" A cackling voice replied.
"Because if you do, everything you love will be destroyed" the man said.
"You silly thing", the voice answered, "don't you know I love nothing here"
The man looked towards the sky, "You're going there aren't you."
"Well obviously," the voice informed the man, "where else would I go?"
"But why destroy this place?" The man asked quietly.
" Oh I'm not going to destroy anything," the voice obnoxiously replied, "I am simply ripping everyone from it- everyone but you, that is."
The mans eyes went dark, "Make no mistake brother, you heard the oracle they WILL come back."
The voices tone hardened, "I would not be so sure about that."
The man heard a click and knew the damage was done. Once again he looked towards the sky, "Goodbye," he whispered in a voice barely audible, though there was no one left to hear him, "I never meant for this to happen."
And in a voice so quite it seemed he hadn't even talked, the man said the last words he ever thought he'd say to the voice, "I love you brother."
