In the eerie pale light of the full moon sat an old crumbling castle. It was the kind of castle where just by one glimpse of it and you could tell there was something sinister about it. The wind was whipping over the land making the dead trees surrounding the castle's old courtyard moan in protest.
In that courtyard sat a lone pure white Bandersnachi. Watching. Listening. Waiting.
Suddenly another much more demanding one came, a dark gray pelt with numerous scars lining his body and a horrible face.
He began to speak in a low, raspy voice filled with malice
"Clōrdësī, your cover is ready."
The other one began to speak, in a much more silky and almost seductive voice.
"Great, when do I start?"
"The beginning of leaf-fall."
She gave a mischievous smile.
"This is gonna be so fun."
The larger wolf bared his teeth menacingly in a threat,
"This is a very vital mission. Don't you dare pull any of you cheap little tricks. Make it quick and clean and don't dance around. Make him love you, get into his house, steal the Mâgdaba, and kill him."
She put her hand on her chest to gesture to herself.
"Me? I don't know what you meanby 'cheap tricks'? Can I lay him to get the stone? It's way easier that way!"
He growled and raised his voice a bit in annoyance.
"I don't care how you get the stone, just as long as you get it!" His voice softened a little. "Besides, once we get the stone back, you will remain eternally youthful, don't you want that?"
She gave a toothy grin.
"Yes, I would very much want to keep my human form as it is now. It makes jobs easier if you are enticing. Makes it easier to get into people's houses."
He squinted his eyes and looked down at her.
"Clōrdësī, you cannot fail this mission. It is too important. If you fail, I'm sending Skie."
She padded up to the larger wolf and looked him straight in the eyes.
"Daddy, when have I ever failed you?"
His eyes slightly softened.
"Never."
Afterward they both padded towards the old entrance of the castle.
