Hugh and Cullen rode the next day to the Bacchus place where Seth lived. The river's waves toppled over one another menacingly. The windows to Seth's cabin had been boarded up. Cullen wondered if Seth was in but then he got his answer.
A loud cackle came from inside the cabin. That was Seth alright. He exited his home and his eyes widened to the sight of the two men. "Uh. Mr Williams! Mr Bohanen! How lovely to see ya. What can I do?" Seth questioned hesitantly.
Cullen and Hugh dismounted; Cullen sat on a tree stump and answered Seth. "We need to know information, since you're the nosiest person there is. Where is Rufus Higbee and his men headed?" "R-Rufus Higbee? Hahaha. I heard he was headed to the east." Seth cackled.
"East. Rufus is going to Gaptooth Ridge. With his artillery to fortify... He knew we'd be alive." Hugh said. "Well we better go." Cullen replied. Hugh suggested, "No. They would leave on a train and get something like a assembly of carriages to have all equipment on. We should board the train."
Cullen agreed and after saying yes to Seth begging them to come back to tell him the news, they left for the railroad.
