Elena's P.O.V
I just came back from the grocery store and for the first time in a long time I couldn't compel the shopping assistant but it felt kind of nice and I felt...normal. Damon called me into his bedroom just as I finished putting all the food away so I ran up the stairs and opened his door to find him sitting on his bed looking down at the floor. "Hey ugh Damon are you okay?" I said confused as to why he's not in his usual cheery mood. He then got up and walked over to me, he cupped my face and kissed me. My heart beats uncontrollably every time he's close to me or kisses me. "Hey, what was that for?" I say giving him a smile. "I donno I'm proud of you Elena," he says holding my face tight in his palms. "For doing the weekly shopping or what?" I say laughing at my own humour. "Your really not that funny you know," he says even though he does laugh a bit "for coping so well to being human again because its difficult to go back to something that you thought you would forget all about".
Damon's P.O.V
I love her so much more than i could love anybody else, but I'm going to miss HER, the vampire side of her, she was courageous and happy. I don't know if she'll ever be that person again, but i still love her so much that's why I have some big news to tell he which I think she'll like
"Elena I think it's time we start our lives together so what do you think about moving into a new house together?" Her reaction was priceless, I'll never forget it.
