When Clover woke up to her obnoxious alarm, she noticed a small letter on her nightstand.

She picked it up and read it:

Dearest Clover Riley,

I assume you have collected your key. This may all be confusing to you now,

but soon it will all make sense. I promise you that the burn on you palm

will fade over time. Do not tell anyone about the key, the burn, or this

letter. I will explain all of this very soon.

With love,

                   LORD

Clover put the letter down and sat there.

She was so confused. She wanted to know more. She wanted to tell someone but was afraid.

Who was this 'LORD' guy?

"Clove!" Her dad called up, "Today is your first day of school!"

Clover looked at the clock. It was 6:15. She packed up her bag, slipping the letter in and changed.

She put on a blue and green flannel, black skinny jeans and her favorite tan boots.

As she left the house to wait for the bus, she noticed something. No-someone. The figure was standing against the stop sign, turned towards her.

Clover thought it was a man but was not sure. Lord flashed in her mind before she shook away the thought.

The (let's say 'man') was wearing a hood that covered most of his face, the rest was not visible because the sun hadn't set yet.

He approached her, pulling down the hood. It was a guy after all underneath. He had golden hair and blue-grey eyes. His face had a few scars; one on his bottom lip and one on his left cheek.

"Are you new around here?" he asked her, leaning just a little too close.

Clover stepped back.

"Yeah, I just moved here yesterday," She blushed a little bit.

"Wow! And you're already going to school?" He raised his eyebrows.

"My dad wanted me to go immediately,"

"Ah, I see," he said, "And what does your mom think of that?"

Clover paused. She didn't know what to say and was luckily saved by the bus rolling in.

She stepped on looking around. Everyone looked friendly, but she had only been on for about a second so who knew.

She approached a seat in the very back of the bus where a pink-haired girl sat. She was lying on her back, using her backpack as a pillow, and reading a very large book.

"Uh...," Clover began, "May I sit here please?"

"Sure," The pink-haired girl scooted over, putting her backpack on her lap.

Clover sat down, almost immediately opening her bag to see if her mysterious letter was still on top where she had put it earlier.

It was.

She looked around to see if anyone was looking. Nobody seemed to notice her so she opened the letter up to read again.

"What's that?" The pink-haired girl asked.
