the Clown

I'm a clown and
Happy is my name.
I'm the saddest person on earth,
Funniest just the same.

I hide behind my makeup
The scars of my past.
Thinking about good jokes,
While eating air--I always fast.

I'm a clown and for me
Joking is just a game.
I'm the saddest person on earth,
Funniest just the same.

Colorful baggy clothes I wear
To conceal my skinny ribby body
And red hair, tie and big nose
To make me look gaudy.

I'm a clown and for me
Their is nothing like fame.
I'm the saddest person on earth,
Funniest just the same.

I draw a smile on my lips
To hide my sorrow.
With empty stomach I can fart.
I don't earn but borrow.

I'm a clown and for me
falling down is not a shame.
I'm the saddest person on earth,
Funniest just the same.

White gloves clads my charred hands
While I juggle with fire.
On banana peels I slip
And ride bike with a single tire.

When I fall, people laugh.
I don't mind--that's my job
When I die, there is no one
On my grave to cry and sob.

Still I will smile, Still I will joke
I just got one: Knock Knock.

I'm a clown and
Happy is my name.
I'm the saddest person on earth,
Funniest just the same.
