"Bonnie get up!" I little sister squealed in my ear.

"Bekah it's saturday." I mumbled not sure if she made out my words.

"Momma says someone is here for you!" She kept squealing, and it hurt my ears. I'm sure that her squealing was the same as yesterday; so why did it hurt my ears today?"

"Ugh I'm up." I rolled out of bed as she jumped up. She grabbed my hand, and started to yank me towards the door. "Can't I get dressed first?"

"No no no momma says now." I grumply followed the eager six year old. When I reached the bottom of the stairs my mom was sitting on the sofa facing a man who was beautiful. I had never seen someone so handsome in my life, but there was something familiar about him. My mom seemed upset by the man's presence.

"What's going on?" I asked, I hadn't realized that they had been talking in hushed voices until they both looked up at the sound of my voice. They looked up; when the man's eyes locked with mine something happened. I felt a connection with the familiar stranger sitting on the couch.

"Bonnie, why don't you take a seat." The man said his voice smooth, and calm. I sat next to my mom on the sofa.

"Who are you?" I asked the man.

"My name is Bryan Michaels."

"Michaels? That's my last name. Are we related? Do you know my dad?"

"Bonnie; I am your dad; and I am here to take you home."

"What," I looked at him then my mom. "What?"

"Bryan I know we do not get along, but she is my daughter!" My mom's voice was like ice. I knew her husband wasn't my real dad, but he did raise me.

"Maya you haven't told her?" Bryan sounded angry. They were talking about me like I wasn't even here. I could still be in bed for this shit.

"Told me what?"

"Bonnie, I meant to tell you this when you were little." I didn't like the sound of this at all. "Bonnie; this is your real dad as he just said. I'm not your mom. I'm your Aunt." I knew the look on my face it was anger, and shock. Mostly anger. "Your Mother was my sister. She died shortly after having you. There were complications, and she lost a lot of blood. Since I couldn't stand your father I took him to court for rights.  He fought hard, and worked even harder; that's why I ended up with you, but the judge also knew that Bryan would be able to provide for you, and take care of you. So I only got your rights until you turned 16. Then your real father got custody of you."

"Why didn't I get to meet you, and have time with you over my childhood." I was so angry at the woman sitting next to me. Before Bryan could answer me she did.

"I told him not to set foot anywhere near you, or I would move us away. That he would never get you." I shoved myself off the couch.

"I'm going to pack." Was all I had to say. I heard the sharp intake of my aunt's breath.

"I'll wait outside." I heard Bryan say weird I shouldn't have heard that. I was already in my room. I didn't even know anything about the people who I called my family. How much of what I know can I trust?  I should have had the chance to know who my father was. I should have got the chance to know him, and now I am going to live with this man that I have never met. Happy 16th Birthday to me. not. Now I didn't even want it to come.  I walked down with a suitcase in my hand.

"Were gonna have to go shopping." Was all I said to the man who was my father, and a stranger. I opened the door and seen an Audi sitting in my drive, well it looked like shopping wouldn't be a big deal to him.

"We'll stop by the mall on our way."
