jaspar adopts kids.

joe knocked on caspar's open office door before walking in. he was nervous, but he pushed the feeling away and focused on getting all of the words out.

"caspar, i know we decided we would wait a little while longer before having this discussion, but my cousin and her husband got into an accident and they had two kids and they need someone to take them in."

"wow. that's really unfortunate. you okay, love?"

"i'm fine, but i'm worried about the kids—ava and noah. they're only six, and i know zoe would take them in if there was no one else, but i don't want her to see them as a burden. and i know you said you wanted to wait a bit longer before considering kids, but i want them to have a good life with people who want them, caspar. please?"

caspar remained silent for a moment. "if it will make you happy, we can do it. i just have one concern. the apartment isn't really made for four people. while you go take care of the custody issue, i'll search for a house near here. that sound okay?"

joe smiled and walked over to his now husband. joe wrapped his arms around caspar, and kissed him on the top of his head. "it sounds perfect," joe said softly. "thank you," he murmured.

"anything for you," caspar replied. "i love you."

"i love you, too, casp."
