The sun has arose over the hill, making light flow through the soldiers' windows. It was near seven o'clock when Levi finally decided to get out of bed. In an instant, he made his bed neatly, and headed for the drawers. Pulling out a shirt, he sighed. How long has it been since he's last seen that bright smile of Eren's? It's sure been two days. Even that's too long.
Finally grabbing his jacket, he headed out his room and into the long hallway. Hanji ran at full speed toward the corporal, and embraced him.
"Tch."
"Hi, Levi!~ Nice day today, huh?"
"No, it isn't."
"Aww, why not? The sun's shining!"
"Even if the sun is shining, I can sense dark clouds of rain somewhere."
"Don't be so dark, Levi!"
"I can if I wanted to, alright? Now let me go. I have to go get Eren out of his dungeon."
"Can I join you-"
"No."
"You're no fun. Anyways, see you at breakfast then!"
Levi sighed as he started walking down the halls, getting out a set of keys from his pocket. Making his way down the stairs, he stopped in front of an iron-strong door.
"Oi, Eren."
Entering, he scans the room to find the brunette curled up in the corner of the bed, looking up at the ceiling, tears flowing out freely from his eyes. Levi's heart stopped for a second. Was he really this depressed? What was wrong with him? Why won't he tell anyone anything?
"Eren."
The teen jumped, then spread a weak smile across his face. Levi felt a stab in his heart, he knew that smile was fake.
"Eren, why are you crying?"
Eren laughed weakly, "Sorry, I had...a nightmare, don't worry about it."
He waved a hand dismissively and slowly sat up in his bed. The corporal made his way in front of the bars, and started cracking open the lock. Walking in, he removed the cuffs around Eren's wrists, and made a gesture for him to get up. The teen obeyed and got up, and quickly hid away a shiny object in his hands. No luck as Levi approached him with a glare.
"What was that, Yeager."
"N-nothing, sir."
"Show me, now."
"No..."
"What did you just say?"
"I said no!"
Sobs escaped his mouth as he collapsed on his knees and opened both hands, revealing a shard of glass. Levi quickly bent down and snatched the piece of glass and threw it far away from where they were. The brunette only watched, shaking his head.
"Eren, what has gotten into you?!"
Eren only whimpered, and stood up. The captain did the same, then grabbed the teen's arms in his hands.
"Talk to me! You've not been yourself."
"I'm f-fine..."
"Eren-"
"Just lead me to the cafeteria!"
Levi groaned, and started walking out, a hand holding the other's arm until they closed the door behind them. The corporal then nudged the teen in front of him, and led him to the cafeteria, where Mikasa, and Armin had been waiting for a while.
Upon entering, Mikasa and Armin ran up to the "smiling" teen, as always and gestured him to go sit with them. Levi walked straight towards Hanji, and took a seat, eyeing the brunette's every move. Hanji only giggled.
"What's the matter?"
"Nothing. Just watching the brat."
"Uh-huh, come on spill."
"Tch, alright, Eren hasn't been acting like himself, and today he tried to hide a piece of glass from me."
"A piece of glass?"
"Yeah, probably to start cutting himself."
"Why would he do that?!"
"That's what I don't know. He wouldn't even tell his closest friends the reason why."
"That's strange. You need to make him tell you what's up."
"Is that an order?"
"Yes."
"Tch," Levi let out as he took a sip of his tea. Somehow, he's going to make the teen spill. He frowned a bit more, seeing the brunette get up, and go straight to the restrooms.
"Isn't that great."
"Hm?"
"Every time we eat, he always has to go to the restroom straight afterwards."
"Isn't it normal?"
"Not if you go multiple times a day."
"Why don't you go check on him?"
"Already had that in mind."
Levi let out a sigh as he slowly got up and headed straight for the restrooms, speed walking.
Entering, he hears a flush, and a door opening. Levi eyed the opening of the door, and saw the young titan walk out.
"Oi."
Eren jumped, holding on to the stall door.
"Levi?"
"What were you doing. And don't tell me you were taking a crap."
"I was...just-"
"Tell me, now."
"...I was throwing up."
The brunette looked down at the floor, clenching his fists.
"Throwing up?"
Nod.
"Is this the first time this week?"
"Yes..."
"Eren. I know when you're lying to me."
"...no, it isn't the first time."
"What the he- Why didn't you tell me?"
"I thought it wasn't important for you to know-"
"You're lying again, Yeager."
"I'm not-"
"Yes you are."
Silence ensued between the two, as Eren fidgeted from the cold stare the captain was giving him.
"You didn't want me to know, right?"
The teen just nodded as he finished washing his hands, and started heading for the exit.
"Eren."
Stopping in his tracks, he looked back to see Levi a few inches behind him.
"Why won't you tell me what's wrong?"
"I-i don't- I just- I can't! Okay?!," sniffling he turns around to face his captain,"I'm sorry!!"
Eren opened the door full swing, and ran towards the exit of the cafeteria, getting stares from his comrades. Levi sighed as he came out, all eyes glued on him now. The whole room fell silent, as he walked out to the exit.
He was upset. He couldn't take it anymore. But, he had to make a plan. One that would definitely make Eren get whatever he has on his chest, out.
