The weekend is now over and it's the dreaded back to school time. Urrgh! I really don't like it, especially if John is annoying me. In maths, he sits next to me and just because we talk, Mai ( who is on the table in front of us) immediately presumes that I must like him! She tells me:
"You know I only do it to annoy you !"
But I refuse to believe it, whether it's true ... or false!
And anyway, I don't like John...not ...one...tiny...bit...
Okay so he is alright I guess and he is very handsome, but he isn't Robbie ya' know ?!
To be honest, by the amount of flirting I see between John and Mai, they should just go out, but Mai already has her eye on people at her work. She showed me some pictures of the people she likes and even though they are a little older, she adores them.
Mai is strange like that though. I've started to realise that she likes older men...in some cases-much older! For example she is OBSESSED with Colin Firth and what is he ? Like,...60 sommit?!! - and don't even get me started on James Franco !! I SWEAR THAT SHE THINKS THEY ARE ALREADY MARRIED !!
'James this' and 'James that' !! By the time she bloody stops talking about him, I will refuse to ever use the name again!! I'm worried for her sometimes but I know she is brave and strong.
She is my best friend, I wish we could always be together, but she did tell me something which brought me to the attention that the future does change :" You know Emily-Grace, my mum was talking to me yesterday about how you do not realise when you stop doing something for the last time. We were walking past the Disney shop in town and she said that it had been 9 years since we stepped back into the shop ... and we didn't even realise that 9 years ago on that certain day, we wouldn't go back for nearly a decade!! - and...erm. There will be that one day Emily-Grace when we say our last 'hi' and look at each other's faces, study the way each other laughs and eventually say our last ever 'goodbye'. Don't let this goodbye be anytime soon as it will come and you won't even notice that it has passed, it could be today, tomorrow ,next week and that's why we need to cherish every moment we have got together. But don't get all sad on me yet, I'm not letting now be out last goodbye."
That day we were on a walk around her village , passing near our favourite wood were we promised we would make some sort of film in. Like an action movie, running through the woods like in Harry Potter...but we never got around to it. I suppose we never really will. After she told me that depressing tale, we said our goodbyes, making sure they wouldn't be our last, and I saw that a cat came to her as she walked off away from me. It was so sweet. I took a photo of them side by side. I still have it. I even told her that it was one of my favourite pictures. It will be forever.
