Be My Girl
He had been in love with her for almost two years now. Two bloody years where he had been in love with a girl who had had a boyfriend.
But now she was finally single; able to become his girl... well, if she wanted to.
There'd been so many moments where he could've asked her, the right moment hadn't just done its appearance yet.
Whenever the words would be waiting on his tongue, ready to ask her, something or someone would interrupt the action.
He felt like he really had had the opportunity once, where they'd gotten really physical close to one another. When he was about to just let the words slip out through his lips, Catherine had called them to set.
Now the times of failure were over, he had decided. Tonight he'd ask her 'cause the feeling was almost unbearable now. The feeling of really wanting to get something which is almost impossible for you to get. The feeling of being deeply in love with a person who might not feel the same for you.
Two soft knocks on the door had drew him out of his deepened thoughts and he almost ran to the doorway.
With a shaking hand and beads of sweat sticking to his forehead, he pulled gently down the handle.
When he saw her, he felt like her sparkling eyes sucked all oxygen out of him and replaced it with hard stones pressing against the wall of his throat.
"Hi," she chuckled silent as she sent him a slight smile.
"H-h-hey," if he didn't stifle his lust of being her boyfriend soon, he would explode, he could tell.
"Can I come in or...?" laughing with an undertone of insecurity she stepped a little further to him.
"Oh yeah, sorry. Of course you can," he paused to smile friendly at her as he continued.
"How's your day been?" hanging out with Kristen as just friends was something he did a lot.
Almost every day.
Him being almost unbelievable in love with her wasn't the definition of news. He'd been in love since he'd watched 'Into the wild' - before he'd met her. During the filming of 'Twilight' she'd been the girlfriend of Mr. Lucky himself; Michael. Rumors about Rob's and her chemistry had been spread all over the world. Rumors which were too much for Michael to handle and then he'd broken up with her. Now she was finally available and Rob was going to use that.
"Great," she said trying to recall the smile that had left her face, but the corners of her lips seemed too heavy for her to lift.
"Awful," tears were threatening to roll down her face, and all he wanted to do was just to embrace her.
"My day's been awful," as she continued, she blinked her eyes causing a teardrop to make its silent escape, and he fought hard to keep his hands to himself.
"Oh. That's why you wanted to come? Well, that's fair. You're okay?" his lust of hugging her disappeared when she let her arms go around his waist and pulled herself against his chest.
When he heard she started crying he laid his arms around her and drew patterns on her back with his fingers trying to comfort her.
He didn't say anything, he just kept stroking the place under her shoulder blades.
When any new soaked dots didn't appear on his shirt, he put his fingertips on her chin to lift her head up so he could look into her wetted eyes.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" he asked quiet as she bit her lip to avoid more tears escaping.
"No. I just want to hang out with you and forget it. I don't want any alcohol though." She dropped her gaze to her feet feeling too exposed to have her eyes in contact with his.
"You're pregnant?" trying to cheer her up a little, he made her look at him again.
"Rob," she started giggling slightly and he felt like he was flying on a fluffy pink cloud.
"Yeah?" as he looked at her with questioning eyes, her amusement started to reflect on him.
"I've been single for nearly a year and I haven't dated any guys since Michael left me,"
His smile was ridiculously foolish, and he knew it. But right now he didn't care. The girl of his dreams hadn't dated since she and her last boyfriend had broken up. And she was single. God damn, she was single, and he was about to fix that.
"Right. Do you want something? Tea? I might have some cookies..." He offered her as he tried hiding an ear-to-ear smile when she interrupted him.
"No. I just want you. I want to talk to you," he looked at her like she was completely insane but then he thought that he should better pull him self together.
"Sure. Living room?"
"'Kay,"

They'd talked on his couch for almost three hours now as they'd got closer and closer to each other. At first they sat nearly as far away from each other as they possibly could but as they began talking more and more, they'd got really close to one another. Now there were only few inches between their faces.
"Kristen?" he asked as he pulled a stray of hair out of her face and placed it behind her ear.
"Yes?" her eyes were glued to his furrowed brow as she spoke.
"Umm..." he swallowed hard as he tried to find the words to ask her. The words which were stuck in his hurting throat, not being able to reach his tongue.
Until, after he'd taken several deep breaths, he finally found the words.
"Kristen, I was in love with you already before I met you... and I still am. I'm so in love with you that it hurts every time you speak and my stomach flip-flops every time I'm close to you. I'm so in love with you that it feels like I've never been in love before - and sometimes I'm actually in doubt if I've ever been. Your smile and your green eyes are the second most beautiful things I've ever experienced. The MOST beautiful thing I've ever experienced... Is you - and not just visually. Your heart is beautiful, and so is your soul. When I think about being with you, I can't even imagine anything more wonderful. It has taken me one year and nine months to get this far, and now I can't hold it back anymore. So... Kristen Stewart... will you be my girlfriend?"
He'd been looking into her eyes as he'd spoke. His hands were shaking and he felt relieved but also scared to death about the answer that would might come from her. The time that passed before she started to speak felt like centuries, and when she finally opened her mouth, he held his breath.
"Yes," was all she said, and even though it was nothing but one word, it changed his life.
When he smiled the biggest smile a person could ever have smiled, she smiled back and only few seconds passed before their lips were crashed against one another's.
