I just can't believe it... Standing before me is a shadow, moving on its own accord....
"What in the world is that?" I stood there frozen. That was the only statement I could possibly give out.
They both looked at my direction, Ace's eyes were also expressing the hint of surprise.
"Y-you can see him?"
'Him? He meant the shadow right? Well of course I could see him. I am standing frozen here. The thing is, I can't believe it...'
I heard the shadow let out an evil chuckle making me look at his face. Or so what I think his face is.
"Its rare for you to ask dumb questions, Ace." He quickly got out of Ace's grip and appeared right beside me. I was surprised by his sudden act that I made me hold my breath for a moment. The shadow leaned closer, like examining my face. I quickly shook my head and took a step back, regaining my posture into a defensive stance.
"Hmmm.... Cautious, eh? Well, this is interesting."
"Axel, stop it."
The shadow looked back at Ace as he sighed. He disappeared in front of my eyes. With that, I was left dumbfounded until I felt a cold breeze blew past my right ear that made me shiver.
"Nice meeting 'ya, A-ma-lia." I felt my blood rushing through my face. 'Now, I am pissed. I don't care what kind of creature you are. I'm going to kick your butt. ' With that, I unconciously tried to hit his stomach without even thinking if it'll have any effect on him.
To my surprise, it did have an effect on him. He is now kneeling at the ground, holding up the pain. I can here two voices groaning at the same time.
Wait. . . Two voices?
I eventually looked at the direction of the second voice. There I saw Ace, groaning in pain as well, kneeling at the ground just like this shadow.

I looked at the shadow,
at Ace,
at the shadow,
and at Ace again.

I rubbed my temples and closed my eyes, thinking of it for a moment. 'So when I punched this shadow guy, Ace felt the pain as well. Whatever I do to the guy, will always reflect on Ace as well.'
My thoughts were interrupted by the shadow's hysterical laugh. I glared at the said being and he suddenly spoke, "Bingo! you got it! I never thought that you are such a smart gal." 'Wait... he read my mind?' I asked myself.
"But of course! I have the ability to read anyone's mind."
'So he is a psychic?'
"Well, if that's what you want to call it."
"Fine fine. I get it." I spoke with a hint of aggravation.
'Good thing you did'
"Get off my head, freak."
'What if I don't want to, what will you do A-ma-lia?'. his voice was all over my head.
"Stop calling me by THAT name!" I tried to kick the shadow for pissing me off again but then he quickly dodged it and counterattack. He hit me right on the stomach. I groaned in pain. 'Geez, what was I thinking. Knowing the truth that I can hurt him means that he can also hurt me. '
