Where alphabets can't reach, matter must concede. There they were, hands in hands, fingers entwined .She was looking at him, feverishly, searching his face hungrily. He was drinking in her features, gradually but certainly never wanting to thwart his view lest she might disappear from sight. Closer they drew in, their breaths mingled. There were two inches in between their faces or probably less, her tresses resting on his shoulder. He shot a piercing look. Her eyelids dropped. Stealing a glance at him, she caught him staring dreamily .The color rose in his cheeks and his lips curled into one delicious smile. She could swear she forgot how to breathe. Both were locked in that kind of embrace, in utter admiration, secured in the bond of love. Her hands felt warm and soft in his .His grip was firm, yet gentle. They were holding on, not for a few moments but for life. As the tips of their noses touched, they took in each other's' perfumes. That was the place they meant to be. Her hand tightened around his biceps. She was a bit nervous. He let out a deep, long sigh and tipped her chin so that their gazes meet and they were lost in their own fairytale.

"What if one day I lose you?" the words were out of her mouth before she could properly word it.

"I'll actually give up the ghost", there were wrinkles of tension near the corner of his eyes. "You're the life of my life"

"Will you ever let go of my hand ,suppose I do the unforgivable .Will I become the past ,if I fail to live up to your expectations?" Her voice was firm despite that she was trembling slightly.

He wrapped his arms around her, leaned in closer and whispered in her ears:

"Are you feeling insecure, darling?"

She closed her eyes.

"Would you, Ezekiel?" there was a faint sob in her tone.

His voice was part of the breeze.

"Losing you is my worst fear. I shall never dream of letting you go. I promise"

He kissed the one drop of tear which had managed to free itself from her tear duct...

"WOW!" She exclaimed suddenly, her face brightening up. "Look at the moon, Ezekiel .Oh! Do look at it! "

It was the 14th night of the lunar month.

"It's heartbreakingly beautiful" he replied

"Oh, darling! The moon's out there! Are you, by any chance, squint eyed?" and then she let out a school girlish giggle.

"I know. She's right here. Even the earth's satellite couldn't resist the urge to share her today" he said, unexpectedly loud.

"Uhmp" she said dismissively

"You" he breathed.

She knew an instant pang of shyness and her cheeks were on fire. Looking at him, through her eyelashes, she muttered a thanks.

He went on mercilessly:

"You're one of a kind. You mustn't mind me saying so.But you appear to be the queen of fairies. Your beauty stabs my heart, a million times, in one glance."

She was coy yet crying out inwardly:

"Say it, say it once more. It's all I shall ever have"

..................................................

Once while they were staring at the canopy of stars overhead. He turned his face to her, his cheeks resting against her and mumbled:

"And if I happen to die first?"
