Ethan took a step down the corridor. He stood outside the door, and breathed in. "Okay." He said, reassuring himself. He was nervous as hell. He was a detective.
Well, kind of, anyway. He had never been on a case before, so they decided to put him on the biggest case. They had caught someone, but now they had started to have second thoughts about their capture. Considering he was dead, and people related to the situation we're currently dead.
He had been signed up to restart the Missing Children's Incident. And this time, they were gonna catch someone. Ethan walked in.
"Ah, mister Carson. It's great to see you." Maya stood up, "unfortunately, I'm in a bit of a situation here. You see, um... I lost the lead."
Ethan stayed quiet for a while. "How?" He said.
"Um. Taylor kinda... Ran. She was too quick, I tried to stop her, but a fucking rabbit prevented me by trying to explain she was unstable and would escape again, anyway."
"Well, we'll never know now." Ethan sat down. Maya sighed.
"Look, you're the new kid now. Understand these things happen all the time. We'll find her eventually." Maya sighed, "just not right now."
Ethan glanced up, "where is this rabbit?"
"I dunno." Maya shrugged.
"Oh. Great." Ethan started to leave, "I'll find a place. What's our story?"
Maya cleared her throat, "sit thissan down, an'all tell you it all for nowt." She said, gesturing for Ethan to sit.
Instead, he just stood there, confused.
"I-what?" He asked.
Maya rolled her eyes, "sorry, I'm from Yorkshire." She faked an apology, "sit down and I'll tell you the story at no cost."
Ethan stayed quiet for a while.
"Oh."
Us Yorkshires...
We speak gibberish.
