Aria sat on the bench at the bus station waiting for the bus that would take her home. The wind whipped through her short black hair. It had been long and flowy, but right after she had run away she had cut it short in a gas station restroom with some scissors she had purchased there.

She had visited her Uncle Joshua. She stayed with him for a few days, and while she was there she went to a hair salon and got her hair styled into a proper pixie cut. He said that she could live with him after he learned what her grandfather had done to her. Aria liked the idea, but first she had some business to sort out back home.

She looked at all the messages on her phone from Johanna. She read them all, but she had no idea how to respond to them. There was just too much for her to tell her. It wouldn't feel right if she told her over a text message or a phone call. She had to tell her in person.

The bus pulled up and Aria boarded it. She sat at the back of the bus away from everyone else. She just wanted to be alone with her thoughts, and rest. She very much wanted to rest.

She dreamed of the events of the night she had run away. Then she dreamed about what her mother would have done if she was still alive. She always loved her and Aria knew it. Then She dreamed about how she would tell Johanna.

Half an hour later the bus came to a screeching stop on the outskirts of her small town of Wilt. Aria got up and shook off her sleepiness. As she got off the bus she got some strange and dirty looks from the other passengers on the bus. These looks made Aria uneasy. "Had I been talking in my sleep?" She thought to herself as she stepped off the bus.

For a few minutes she stood there on the curb letting her mind take in what she was about to do.
