Selena's POV;
I sit outside the building crying. I take out my phone and call Justin. "Hey Sel," he answers.
"Can you pick me up?" I ask. "Yeah, I'll meet you at your house in 10," he says. "I'm not at my house," I say.
"Then, where are you?"he asks. I look around scared of telling him where I am. "Sel, where are you?" he asks repeats.
"Never mind, I'll just find another ride," I say.
"No, Selena, just tell me where you are," he demands.
"I'm outside Harlem Prison," I say. "I'll be there in 10," he says. I hang up and wait for him.Justin's POV;
I arrive at the Prison. I step out of my Range Rover and spot Selena. She is siting on the pavement with her head buried in her hands. I walk over to her and place my hand on her shoulder. "What happened?" I ask.
"Can you just take me home?" she asks as she looks to me with teary eyes.
"Yeah," I say softly. She stands up and walks over to my Range Rover. We get into the car and drive to her house.She doesn't say a word the entire drive, just stares out the window. We arrive at her house and she crawls out of the car. I follow her inside her house. She sets her bag down and goes over to the couch. She sits down and drags her knees up to her face. She wraps her hands around her knees and buries her head in her knees.
I walk over to her and sit beside her. "Can you tell me what happened?" I ask her. She shakes her head.
"Come on, you can tell me anything. I won't judge, just listen," I say. She slowly lifts her head up and stares at me.
"About 16 months ago, when I was still friends with Demi, my dad had an affair with Demi's mom. He told her that he was going to leave my mom. Eventually Demi's mom, Katherine, got tired of him saying that and not leaving so she threatened him, saying that if he didn't leave her she would tell my mom."Selena pauses and let's a tear fall from her eyes. I pull my arm around her and she goes on. "My dad murdered Demi's mom, that is why Demi hates me. I can't blame her for hating me, my dad killed her mom. I didn't defend my dad when he went to court, I knew he was guilty and I sat on Demi's mom side. Her mom won the trail and my dad was sent to prison for 20 years." tears steam down Selena's beautiful face. I pull Selena into a hug. "My mom and brother forgive him and act like it never happened, we were visiting him and we got in a fight so I called you," she explains. We pull back from the hug.
"I don't blame you for not forgiving him, I wouldn't either. Your mom and brother are probably scared of what would happen if they did leave him, my mom was afraid to leave my dad at first but now she's so much more happier without him. Your mom and brother will realize that one day," I say. She nods.
"Thank you," she says. Selena then kisses my lips. We pull back and we lay together holding each other. Selena falls asleep in my arms. I smile and try to fall asleep. Why do bad things happen to the best people? "I love you," I whisper in Selena's ear. I then too fall asleep.
