"Are you sure you don't want to come?", Mest asked twelve year old Wendy Marvell.
Wendy nodded, "No thank you, I'd rather stay here and be surprised about who won, plus I don't think Carla would want me to.".
"I do agree, I don't want you to go!", Carla pointed out.
"Okay, thanks for your time.", Mest smiled before walking away.
"I feel a little bad Carla...", Wendy looked down.
"Don't let it get to you, it's for the best."."Wendy, you're thinking about it again!", a voice spoke from behind the fourteen year old.
"Oh, hey Carla..."."If you keep thinking about, you'll never get over it.".
"I suppose...', her voice trailed off at the thought of her missing friends.
"Enough lying around," Wendy sighed, "I need to focus on my next job.".
"Wendy, you're over exerting yourself!", Carla argued,"If you keep this up you'll be in the hospital!".
Wendy however just shrugged it off, she knew that if she didn't find a job soon Fairy Tail would have to ask for a loan, and she wasn't gonna let that happen. To be truthful She was most likely the only reason the guild was still standing. During the first year they had to start taking loans, but when Wendy got stronger she was the only one who could really take any actual jobs, but even those were rare.
Things in the guild had changed plenty, Alzack and Bisca had gotten married, they even had a baby girl named Asuka, and believe it or not they made Wendy her god Mother!
Carla frowned, worried about her longtime best friend, but hey what could she do?
When Wendy had her mind set on something she wasn't going to quit.
Just when Wendy stood up, she heard Max calling her over. "You got some mail, but I assume it's probably just another apology letter from Doranbolt.".
Max handed her the letter with a usual bored expression. Yes of course it'd most likely be an apology letter, it always was.
Wendy sighed opening the rather fancy letter, when she removed the envelope she noticed a strange symbol on the back of the paper.
It looked like a guild insignia, but an unfamiliar one for sure.
Carla made an indecipherable expression, while Wendy just stared.
"Well I guess this one's not from Doranbolt.", Carla stated.
"I guess so....".
Once Wendy opened the letter she began reading it under her breath.
"Dear miss Marvell, I am Master Jiemma of the Sabertooth Guild, from many reliable sources I have come to the conclusion that you are a Dragon Slayer, and a very powerful one at that.
I am well aware that you are already a member of a guild, I would like to request that you join my guild, we are rising stars with very powerful members and plenty of job requests.
Did I mention that we also have two dragon slayers in our guild? Their names are Sting and Rouge. Also both very powerful mages. I'm sure you have plenty questions about their abilities as fellow dragon slayers, and if you joined the guild all of those questions will be answered.
We can make you stronger, much stronger.
I assure you miss Marvell that if you join our guild, you will not regret it.
Sincerely
Sabertooth's Master, Jiemma."
Wendy hadn't realized that as she was reading the volume of her voice slowly increased, as she read on, making it so the whole guild could hear what she was saying.
Everyone in the guild was staring at her, wide eyed, Carla tried talking to her but the only thing Wendy could hear was the words echoing throughout her mind.
Dragon slayers.....
Answers.....
Stornger....
Sabertooth....
-Endy!
Wendy!
The Sky Sorceress was pulled out of her daze by the sound of her exceed companions voice.
The guild sat in complete silence for a moment, before Carla let out a frustrated sigh, "Wendy.."
With the whole guild staring at her Wendy couldn't even get a word out of her, she was so confused, what was the Sabertooth guild? Why did they want her? Could they really make her stronger? Could they actually have answers?
And without another word she stood up and begin to make her way throughout the guild hall.
"Wendy stop!"
She just kept waking.....
"Stop!", Carla quickly flew over tugging at the back of her dress.
Wendy slowly turned back, with a blank expression on her face, "What do want from me?!". The guild was taken back by her sudden outburst, but that didn't mean they were at all surprised.
They had been waiting for this to happen for twp years now, after all so much pressure had been put on her. It made the rest of the guild feel guilty.
Carla made a sympathetic face, "whatever you do I'll support you, so if you decide you stay o go I'll do the same.", she said the last part so quiet that only the two could hear it.
Wendy nodded, "I haven't yet decided what I am going to do, but for now I have to leave and take time to think about it!", she announced.
Macao nodded obviously respecting the girls opinion, "Very well, for now you can leave, but I expect a decision out of you by the end of the week."
Wendy and Carla both nodded before exiting the guild.
Once they were out of the guild Wendy immediately started walking in the oppisite direction pf Fairy Hills.
"Wendy where you going?".
"I think you know, to the Sabertooth guild!".
