The Perfect Wife

Good News

Charlotte ended all her chores, and she was about to take a time to relax.

She had prepared some snacks and drinks for her "romantic" movie night, Marvin was asleep, Victor in the studio, so she enjoyed the silence around her.

While the movie was playing, she began to question her life, she remembered her previous relationship with Victor, and then Sebastian.

That man, his thick brows, those lips, those eyes, his deep voice and everything about him send chills through her spine. But one thing was for sure; it seems that he forgot about her, she was capable to see him but always in company of Madeleine. 

Drowning in her thoughts, a pinch of jealousy appeared, maybe he didn't want her anymore. She hugged her knees, and tried to get away those feelings, jelousy and confusion; she need it in that moment peace, but her mind don't allowed it. The scene of a intense kiss made her thought in Sebastian's kiss, she missed his touch, and yet she had to do what she need it to, satisfy with her husband.

Her cellphone popped and she took it in her hands. She saw a notification and she realized that her period was late for two days... She hoped that it was just late.

Days passed by and she was feeling uneasy, she bought a pregnancy test and she waited a minute, and another second and the damn line didn't appeared. She looked at the sink, it was white and clean, a day before she cleaned intensely.

She bit her lip and saw that it was negative... but she had to be sure.

The woman at the phone was in an intense talk and then suddenly ended the call after she saw Charlotte.

"Sorry, Mrs. Griffin, but I had to attend"

The doctor said as she was trying to compose again, with her severe look and those glasses that fit perfectly on her. Taking a glance to her computer, she released Charlotte for her burden.

"You can be calm, you are not pregnant, the lack of period is not only for pregnancy, it can be for  many factors, stress, over exercise, now you can stop your period with a dosis of hormones. If your case is stress, I recommend you, to take a moment and relax, stress is a hard enemy and can kill you"

Charlotte smiled and thanked to the woman and left the place remembering the advice.

Now, a smiling Maddeleine waited for her.

"Charts hurry!! my ass is freezing!!"

"Well is almost winter" Charlotte smiled back to her and entered to Maddie's car.

"So, now we have to go and buy food"

Maddie said in a serious tone, Charlotte only nodded waiting Maddeleine continued talking.

"What are you going to cook?" Charlotte asked to Maddie after she observed how nervous she was.

"I have no idea, I bought a cooking book so I want to try" Charlotte laughed about her friend, and finally she reached the market.

Maddeleine walked in front of Charlotte and took every fruit that she liked. Charlotte grabbed an orange observing the perfection on the fruit.

"Can I ask you why this sudden desire to cook?" She really wanted to know, because Maddie was a mess in the kitchen. Maddie smiled to her after picking some tomatoes.

"I was scolded by Sebastian, he said to me that a beautiful woman like me, should take care of my beeauty, I told you, the guy is gay."

The jealousy after hearing Sebastian's name dissapeared quickly thanks to Maddie statement. Maddie was a bright person, and Charlotte really wished that she could be like Maddie, for the bottom of her heart.
