<Lou's POV>

I slammed the glass on the counter after gulpping whiskey down my throat.

"Another one." I order and the lovely bartender poured me another glass. Break ups are hard, didn't think I would have to drink my troubles away. I want to drink until I can't feel the pain anymore. I know I shouldn't be so hard on myself, I need to be a man. If she was going to bloody cheat on me, why didn't she just break up with me? It wouldn't of hurt so damn much. I'm single now, I could do whatever the bloody hell I want. Including this bartender. Her cleavage exposed ever so slightly as if they were screaming for me. "What's your name, love?" I asked grinning at her. She smiled pulling a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear.

"Carrie."

"Ah! Carrie, lovely name for a lovely girl. I'm Louis." she giggled. "When are you off?"

"I can take a break in about 10 minutes." she smirked.

"Perfect." And with that she walked down the bar to tend to another costumer. The woman that sat next to me wasn't too shabby either. She was quite fit, her outfit hugged her in all the right places and she was a redhead. "What's your name, love?" she just laughed.

"You worthless, disgusting, player." She said. "Scamming on girls, looking at them like a piece of meat!"

"Calm down, I haven't been doing to well." I started slurring. The whiskey finally catching up with me.

"Let me guess, your girlfriend cheated on you and you are here feeling sorry for yourself with a bottle off vodka."

"Actually, it's whiskey." I forced a laugh, it was pathetic.

"Guys like you never change but you could..." She said quieter on the last part.

"Whatever, I'm just gonna go home." I said standing up and stumbling out of the bar. Didn't really care too much for that blonde lass. I walked down the street in a slow manner, the walk home would be agonizing. The silence was killing me. The darkness was keeping me a little on edge. I shuffled down the end of the street but saw a figure in the distance, it was running straight towards me. I started back the way I come from but bumped into the lass in the bar, the redhead. "Jesus, you scared me." I said shaking.

"Not yet." her eyes turned a dark black and her canine teeth became sharper. She smiled before biting into my neck, I screamed but no one heard me. Then, blackness.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up in the middle of the street with my neck bleeding and with a pounding headache. I slowly stood up, a little dizzy and sick.

"What the hell?" I said placing a hand on my neck then looking at my fingers, blood. I trudged to my loft, almost passing out before I got there. Everything felt different but I wasn't going to bother with any of it tonight. I clasped onto my bed and just fell asleep. But I couldn't manage to fall asleep. There was a constant dripping noise that was irritating the shit out of me. I swung myself out of bed and followed the sound of the dripping. I opened the door to the bathroom. I flipped on the light. Screaming in pain, the light was stinging my eyes. It's never done that before, quickly I shut off the light. I focused my hearing on the sink, it wasn't even that loud but how the hell did I hear it all the way across the loft in my room? I turned on the light again, not caring if it burned my eyes out. I squinted at me neck and to a surprise, two symmetrical holes were in my neck. This couldn't be possible, I shut off the light again. I paced in the bathroom, not understanding a damn thing. What the hell could I be? I couldn't possibly be human anymore. I dashed down the hall and into the living room to my laptop. The light shined onto my face causing me to nearly shut my eyes. I clicked onto google and typed vampires. Urban legends popped up, Sensitive to light, quick speed, strength, compelling, wood to the heart and thirsty for blood. Theses words caught my eye, I started to panic. I barely remember what happened, this could not be any worse. I was thirsty though. Not for water. Blood. The thought if blood even got my excited. I stood up and opened the fridge, there was a rare steak. I tore open the package and scarfed it down. I licked the excess blood off my fingers but I was still hungry. I grabbed my coat and walked out the door. There was no way in hell I was a vampire, they don't exist. It's like saying Santa Claus is real or even the Tooth Fairy. It was completely crazy. I walked down the street from my loft, two girls in mini skirts and tube tops passed. I stopped for a moment to engulf in their smell, sweet and irrestible.
