Chapter 9

        Lyras POV
    We walked hand in hand to godrics room and met everyone there. I didn't bother recovering my bites from last night or sams from today.
    Everyone gave us knowing looks and smirks as we walked in. Teddy ran to us and jumped in my arms.
    "Now that everyone is here I can tell you the other half of what I wanted to." Fleur said.
    "Okay shoot." I said sitting on sams lap.
    "Well bill has said that the reason your uncle tom wanted to meet you was because there is rumors that they are out for revenge for everyone on the light." She said.
    "Why didnt he- nevermind to public. I take it after he left us he contacted you and bill." I said.
    "Correct. He asked me to tell you to put wards up. Weak and strong on your house and your friends and their families. there's one more thing. One has been bitten by a man named laurant." She said.
    "He would bite one of them." I said growling.
    "You know the vamp?" Paul asked.
    "Yes. Crossed him once before the war. Creepy man. Thought I was muggle and offered me power. I knew what he meant and tried setting him on fire. He must have freaked and left. Then I got a letter from the voulturi. They asked me to join them but I declined. They did though fight for ourside. They said I could still call in favors but I haven't since then." I said.
    "How did meeting the head vamps go?" Jake asked me.
    "Pretty normal. Until Jane tried to use her power on me. Since I can close out my mind her power had no effects on me." I said shrugging.
    "Please stay safe I must go." Fleur said.
    "I will. You stay safe as well. Say hi to bill and my niece for me." I said hugging her. Everyone hugged her and she left the room.
    "What is she exactly? I smell something close to a vamp." Paul asked me.
    "Shes part veela. They are like the cousin to vampire but they transform. If you are full veela and get angry you sprout large black wings and fangs. They also are like wolves with their mates. They can smell them. All veela mark their mate to show others who they belong to. They can also emit pheromones everyone in the same room as them would be effected by it except their mate." I explained to them.
    "How is one part veela?" Sam asked me.
    "Their parents would have to have some in them. If two full veelas mate then their child will also be full veela. If one parent is part veela their child will have veela blood in them. A full veela and someone with no veela blood will make a half veela." I said.
    "So their like vampires that don't need blood." Seth said.
    "well kind of. When a veela finds their mate well you know they mate and when they reach their point the veela will bite their mates neck. After that the mate will need the veela venom to live. If two veelas mate they will need each other. When one dies the other dies a week after from either the loss of venom in a mates case or the emptiness in the veelas case." I explained.
    "Man. How do you know all this besides the fact that you most likely read about it." Jake said.
    "Fleur is not the only veela I know. Luna one of my good friends is half veela. Though her father isn't a full one. He is part like fleur so they don't need to mark their mate. Shes told me about them and other things." I said thinking of lunas dreamy look.
    "So if you only have some veela blood it wont effect you as much?" Sam asked.
    "Basically. They usually look pale and beautiful but deadly. They also have platnium blond hair like draco. Were not sure if he had any in him from his fathers side." I said.
    "Mm. Seems simple enough. What else creatcures are lurking in the dark?" Quil asked me.
    "Giants, trolls, werewolves you know turn every full moon, centuars, unicorns, fairies, Pegasus, and huge snakes and spiders and more." I said shivering at the thought of hagrids acromantula.
    "I take it you crossed these." Jared said.
    "Yes. Some good some not so good. Oh there's also three headed dogs, and dragons and mermaids." I said.
    "With school and everything how did you you know adventure?" Sam asked me.
    "At this school everyday is an adventure. The dog, troll and unicorn. I saw when I was 11 getting the stone.The snake and spider second year when ginerva was causing muggleborns to be pertafied.  Third year when teddy's dad Remus taught defence against the dark. Mermaids and dragons in fourth year when I did the tournament. Centuars and hagrids brother the giant in fifth year when i led the toad into the forbidden Forrest and one of the centuars that saved me took her. that's about it." I said scouting everything off my fingers.
    Everyone stared at me with wide eyes and I just gave them a small smile.
    "Sam don't get mad at me for asking her this but how did you know not die?" Leah asked.
    "I was kinda wondering the same." He said. I let out a small laugh at them.
    "Honestley I asked myself that every year since I was eleven." I said.
    "Well how about we go to the field thing and see you on a broom?" Jake asked.
    "Okay. Ill ask the students here if they want to play." I said. Everyone got up and I went to the slytherin common room.
    "Pureblood." I said. "I hate that password they should change it."
    The door on the stone wall appeared and we walked in. I found a few boys that looked like seventh years and a fifth year girl I think.
    "What are you doing in the slytherin common room?" The girl asked sneering at us.
    "Are you dense don't you know who that is?" The black haired boy said.
    "Thanks. Anyway I was wondering do any of you play quidditch?" I asked the boys ignoring the girl giving me death looks.
    "You came to the right place m'lady. I'm Joshua Lestrange. This is my twin James Lestrange. Were not evil like Rodolphus them." Joshua said.
    "Wait I think I remember you guys. I had caring of magical creatcures with you. I trust you. So which house is good this year?" I asked them.
    "Besides us surprisingly huffelpuff. I would say we can play gryfindor but all their team is at hogsmead." James said.
    "Its okay. Get some other players and I'll get the huffelpuffs. Meet us at the pitch." I said. They nodded and went to the boys rooms while we went to get the huffelfuffs. I got the actual team well half. They all seemed to be excited to play. We ended up getting some ravenclaws and went to the pitch. To my surprise the Lestrange brothers got some gryfindors that played for fun.
    "Nice we got every house. How should we split up the teams?" I asked Joshua.
    "Well since you are the best seeker we decided that we should call someone in." Joshua said moving to reveal Harry.
    "Harry!" I screamed and jumped onto him.
    "Breaking my body here." He said laughing.
    "Sorry. Okay so we will pick the teams. Then each team will chose a color any color for their clothes. Wait where's Katie." I said.
    "Shes with dad. Hes going baby crazy at home." He said shaking his head.
    Me and Harry picked our teams and I chose Josh while Harry took James. I let josh take charge while I take Sam them up the tower.
    "Alright. Need anything call for periwinkle and she will come. All good?" I asked everybody.
    "Yup." They all said.
    "Okay. Teddy be good okay. Mama will be back." I said kissing his head.
    Sam gave me a quick peck on the lips and I hurried down the stairs.
    I met my team in the locker room and they decided to use a baby blue color. We changed into the practice clothes and got ready. We grabbed a broom each and me and josh grabbed the chest with the snitch, bulgers, and everything we need.
    I got some random kid walking around to be the ref while his friend was scorekeeper.
    The boy threw the quaffels into the air and we were off.
        Sams POV
    I saw Lyra and Harry go to opposite sides of the pitch and circle it. She said that the seeker looks for a little gold ball. Is that even possible? I asked myself. I could almost feel Lyra giggle at that.
    Every few minutes they would race at neckbreaking speed around the pitch ever close enough where we could tough them.
    Two hours went by before Lyra caught the ball. She almost gave me a heart attack. She reached down for the ball and the broom starting tilting. She must have done this a million times because before she fell over she straightened up and raised her hand.
    We all went down the bleachers to meet her on the field.
    I got to her and placed a small kiss on her lips.
    "You were amazing." I said.
    "I know." She said with a cheeky smile.
    "Now you've done it her heads gonna expand even more." The raven haired boy with emerald green eyes and round wired glasses said.
    "I resent that. Anyway Harry this is my boyfriend Sam Uley. These are leah and Seth clearwater, Embry call, Paul lahote, jared Cameron, Quil artera and Jacob black. Guys this is my other partner in crime Harry potter." She said.
    "Nice to meet you lot." Harry said shaking our hands then picking teddy up.
    "Guys thanks for playing with us. We should play again. I think I'll visit more." Lyra said to the students.
    "No problem. It was nice seeing you again and getting to play a game with you." The one named Joshua said.
    "Of course." Lyra said smiling.
    The students went to change and go back to what they were doing and we talked more to Harry.
        Lyras POV
    Everyone went to change while we stayed on the field letting Teddy play with the pixies in the grass.
    "Now Lyra me being your best friend, cousin and not to mention brother you didnt think you could hide that from me could you?" Harry said pointing at my left ring finger.
    "No not really but you seem to put everything together." I said.
    "I did actually. I am right behind you and draco academic wise. Sam I trust you and that saying a lot because I don't trust easy. Sirius probably already said this but hurt her and ill be after you." Harry said. I face palmed myself at that.
    "Harry I don't plan on hurting her. I promise my life." Sam said. I smiled at him and wrapped my arm around his waist.
    "I see that. I better get home to katie. Shall I tell her or you? She still wants her snacks by the way." Harry said mounting his broom.
    "We should too. I will and tell her I'll be over soon." I said. I kissed Harry on the cheek and he flew away.
    I picked Teddy up and we walked back through the school to the apperation point. I saw professor McGonagall and professor snape leaving the lat carriage so we walked to them.
    "I take it you kids had fun." She said.
    "Yes thank you professor. Professor snape its good to see you again." I said.
    "Always a pleasure when your not schemeing." Snape said smirking.
    "Always." I said smiling.
    "I will let you guys go. Bye." I said waving to them like everyone else and apperated away.
     I took everyone to my place so that I could set the wards up with dad.
    "Daddy?" I called out.
    "In here princess." He yelled. I found him on the couch looking better then yesterday.
    "we have to go and get Billy them to put up wards. Like now." I said.
    "Alright I'll get my-" he started saying getting off the couch but I already acciod his wand into my hand.
    "Got it." I said tossing him his wand.
    "Sam you guys are welcome to stay here." Dad said.
    "I'm coming. If anything happens to you guys I wouldn't be able to live with myself." Sam said looking at me.
    I nodded and grabbed his hand.
    "Were coming too." Paul said.
    "didn't think you guys would stay back. Ill tell drake." I said taking Teddy to the guest house.
    Five minutes later I came out of the guest house and we made out way to the apperation point. Dad took one half I took the other. We apperated to billy's house first and he met us outside.
    "Minnie send a patronus. I have the wards I can remember you are welcome to put up more. Everyone else has whatever wards up they could do. They will be waiting for you." He said. I nodded and went to the back of the house while dad stayed in the from with half the pack.
    I found the perfect spot and started my protection spells. I was finishing up the last ward and felt the burst of energy ripple through the land meaning the ward was done.
    We repeated the process on sues, embrys, quils, Jared's,  Paul's and then sams. His since his house was where everyone usually was I put extra protection just incase anything happends they can go there and call everyone.
    I finally finished sams warding and felt the burst of energy again. I smiled knowing that nothing could possibly get through the wards on their houses. I went into the house where sue and Billy along with the pack and dad were and collapsed on the couch face down. I grunted and rolled over blowing the hair off my face.
    "Dumb weasleys. Stupid Percy. I'll strangely him when I see him." I grumbled.
    I heard dad laughed and threw the pillow at him.
    "I'm not joking hes dead." I said.
    "Oh I don't doubt you for a moment princess its just you ran around protecting people you have known for a week." He said.
    "So? You mean a lot to me all of you." I said looking at everyone.
    "We know that sweetheart." Sue said.
    "What your father means is you acted like an alpha female protecting her family. you've known us and the pack for a week and you are already to protect us with everything you have. Its not going unappreciated. I promise you that." Billy said.
    "Oh." I said blushing and hiding my face.
    "Its nothing to be embarrassed about." Sam said pulling my hands from my face.
    "Yeah. I mean we already call you mom so no point in being embarrassed." Paul said.
    "I know. You guys really mean a lot to me." I said.
    "We know princess." Sam said as I sat up for him to sit.
    "I should be going. I got to go with trixie to see kingsley. I will see you guys tomorrow. Ly your welcome to stay out if you'd like and if its okay. See you guys later." Dad said kissing my head then apperated away. We set the wards up so only re can apperate into an out of the houses including ours after we made adjustments.
    "Sam and lyra I was wondering since Jake, sam and Quil are patrolling if we could have a girls night. Its kind of important." Leah said.
    I looked at Sam and he seemed to know what it was about and nodded. I kissed his cheek and thanked him.
    "Ill get the boys out of the house for tonight. You don't mind of Seth stay here do you?" Sue asked Sam.
    "No it'd alright. While you have a girls night we will have a guys night." Sam said.
    "Harry can stay with me sue." Billy said.
    "Thanks guys." I said.
    "We will be at home." Leah said.
    I kissed Sam bye and everyone kissed us on the cheek. Sue said she would be home soon and that we would see her later.
    We popped over to my house and I grabbed a few clothes and saw draco had Teddy put to sleep. I kissed teddy's forehead and made sure the wards were up good and tight.
    We walked out of my room and I filled the dogs bowls up and let her out for a few minutes. Then put her back in the play pen.
    We finally got to Leah's house and we settled in her room.
    "We can share the bed. I don't mind." Leah said.
    "Thanks Leah." I said putting my bag on the floor.
    "I'm so glad I'm not the only girl with the pack anymore." Leah said smiling.
    "I don't know how you did it." I said.
    "Me neither. Now onto the important part. When I was at work the other day a guy walked in and I kind of imprinted on him. I didnt even see him before." She said.
    "Oh congrats. May I?" I asked motioning to my head.
    "Of course." She said. I waited until she closed her eyes and imagained the boy.
    I saw a tall boy  with freckles plastered across his face and fiery red hair. He had blue eyes that had a sadness to them. Though when he checked out he smiled more than ever after freds death at Leah.
    I pulled out of her head and smiled.
    "You look like a mad woman. You know that?" Leah said laughing.
    "Leah you in luck." I said.
    "What do you mean?" She asked me grabbing my shoulders.
    "Well I mean that the boy you know just so happends to be a close friend of mine and hes single." I said winking at her.
    "Really. that's great. Could you introduce us? Why do you look confused?" Leah asked me.
    "I'm just trying to figure out why hes here and didn't tell me." I said.
    "Is that a bad thing?" She asked worried.
    "Oh no. No its great if he comes in when you go tomorrow give him your number if he calls start from there. When he starts showing interest bring him over. It will take maybe a month at least." I said patting her hand.
    "Will it work I mean what if hes not interested?" She asked.
    "I will tell you right now he is attracted to you. You might have not noticed since you were imprinting but the way he looked at you shows a lot. Trust me." I said.
    "Thank you Lyra. What would i do without you?" She said laughing.
    "Probably pulling your hair out from all the boys. I know I would. I'm happy I have you." I said.
    "Me too. Now how are you and Sam?" She asked me.
    We spent the night talking about Sam and I taught her some basic spells and charms for everyday use. I also gave her a charm that kept her clothes on while she phased making a note to myself to do it with the boys.
    Around two in the morning we fell asleep talking about tomorrow.
    I woke up to the shower running and my phone ringing. To my surprise it was George
    "Hello?" I answered.
    "Hey ly. How are you?"  He asked me.
    "I'm good. You?" I asked him sitting up.
    "I'm good. Hey im actually where you live. Ive been here since two days." He said.
    "Oh really why didnt you say anything?" I asked.
    "Wanted to get a feel of the place. So I met a girl the day I got here." He said.
    "I know." I said smirking.
    "How?"  He asked.
    "I know her." I said.
    "Could you know introduce us?" He asked me.
    "I already told her I would. Shes working today by the way. Visit her. I have to go. Call me later ill be at the cullens. Bye." I said.
    "Okay. I trust you. Bye." He said. Then the line went dead.
    Leah came out of the bath room and said she was done with it. I quickly showered and met her downstairs.
    "where's sue?" I asked her.
    "She starts work at the police station early being sheriff and all." She said.
    "Oh. So George called today." I said as we filled our bowls of cereal.
    "Really?!" She said almost dropping the milk.
    "Yes. He sounded interested. Asked me to inteoduce you guys. He will be there today. Slip him your number." I said.
    We finished our cereal and she went to work. I popped over to my house and picked up Teddy leaving a note for draco and dad them. Then went to sams.
    When we got there the boys were sitting around eating left overs.
    "Hey guys." I said putting Teddy down.
    "Hey mama." They said. Sam stood up and pecked my lips.
    "I missed you." He said.
    "I missed you too." I said smiling.
    "So how was girls night?" Paul's aksed me.
    "Cant tell. Its girl code." I said putting my finger to my lips.
    "Fine fine. I respect that." Paul said putting his hands up.
    "So what's on for today?" Jake asked me.
    "Well I kind of need to see the cullens." I said sitting down.
    "Cool. Can we join me and Emmet need a rematch." Paul said.
    "Sure. I don't mind. I'm just gonna change Teddy and get him ready." I said leading Teddy upstairs.
        Same POV
    Shes gonna make a great mom. I thought to myself.
    I looked at my finger and couldn't wait until a real ring was there. Me and the boys threw on shirts and shoes. We waited about ten minutes before I heard teddy running down the stairs followed by lyra.
    "Teddy don't do this today please. Ugh." She groaned chasing Teddy. He ran through the kitchen so I stood at the door and waited to catch him.
    Luckily my plan worked. I caught him in my arms quickly and brought him to the couch.
    "Thanks." Lyra said throwing her hair into a messy bun.
    She slipped on his shoes and socks and we went on our way to the cullens.
