Chapter 5

Krystle P.O.V

"Are you nervous?" Catherine asked as she came out of her car.

"You can say that again," I replied.

Today was the first day of College. So, I was feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement.

"Shall we go in?" I nodded.

We both left the car park, where I was waiting for her, and entered the huge building of the College. It was a new and fresh start to our life.

There were loads of people around us. Many of the people seemed like it was their first day too. And there were people with professional clothing. I'm assuming they must be the teachers.

We'd already came to this place on opening days to see how it was like and what courses they offer. It was a College consisting of many buildings in the same area. The one Catherine and I are in was the main building, where we were told to go to.

It was really spacious and I was really excited to come here. As Catherine and I walked further on, this lady stopped us.

"Are you guys the new students?" She asked with a polite smile. "If you are, then please make your way to the Assembly room."

Giving her a smile, we obeyed her. She showed us the directions and we turned to walk towards the Assembly room.

"I'm so excited but at the same time, I'm really scared," Catherine chuckled, her voice companied by nervousness. I knew exactly how she felt.

"I feel you, babe."

We were on our way when I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder. My eyebrows furrowed as I turned towards the direction where the touch came from. Catherine also looked back with curiosity. It was Kaleem and his other two mates.

"Hi, I hope you remember who I am." Kaleem smiled at me.

Before I could reply, Catherine started speaking. "Yeah, we remember. You guys are the group that sang at the party yesterday, right?"

"Yes we are darling." The blonde-haired said to Catherine, with the corner of his mouth lifted up showing his white teeth.

"You guys were really good." She complimented as they all replied with a 'thanks'.

"I'm Jay, by the way. Jay Henderson." He extended his hand towards Catherine to which she happily shook.

"I'm Catherine."

The other guy told us his name, which was Lucas. He was the one playing the instruments whilst the other two sang.

"What's your name?" The question was to me from Jay.

"She doesn't even have a name." Kaleem muttered under his breath so no one could hear. But unfortunately for him, I heard.

He wasn't too late in realising as he quickly looked at me and smiled. Then turned his face away, avoiding eye contact.

"Huh?" Lucas and Jay looked at Kaleem as Lucas asked, "Did you say something?" He shook his head.

Ignoring Kaleem, they both turned to face me and I began introducing my self. "My name's Krystle and you guys were really good yesterday."

They all smiled as Kaleem grinned, "Thank you, we're glad you liked it."

"I think we should get going now or else we're going to be late for assembly." Lucas voiced. So they were new to College too.

"Yeah, we were just on our way there too." I said.

"Well, we'll see you there." Kaleem replied.

As they began to leave, I noticed Catherine's eyes didn't leave Jay and his smile, towards her, wasn't fading.

I was about to start walking too but Catherine grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
She looked towards them and made sure they were out of sight before she started speaking.

"Krystle." She whirled to face me.

"What?" I asked. 

"I think there's a zoo in my stomach."

This isn't that long, but I wanted to update as much as I can before I go off Wattpad for a while, due to revision.
