^---- Cassie

Cassie's POV

I woke up with a start. I had this dream that's normal for demigods. Except, I was pretty sure that this time included a prophecy.

Dream

I stood in the attic of the Big House, where the Oracle stayed in. It was silent for a few seconds, but then green mist started to spew from her mouth. It circled around my twice before settling in the only open area. It formed in a blob. It had cleared away after a little. In place of the mist, stood my late little sister, Mariana. She started to speak, but not in her sweet little voice. It spook with the voice of the Oracle, a raspy voice.

One half-blood and magician will find love,
And anger the gods from above.
Their souls shall find peace,
As they obtain it with ease.
A friendship shall be put to the test,
As he will only accept the best.

Emphasizing on the he, Mariana started to disappear. I tried reaching for her, but my hand wouldn't move from my side, no matter how much I willed it to. That was the worst part of demigod dreams. You couldn't do anything.

I sat up, careful not to harm my wounds. I scanned the room and it looked very unfamiliar. I thought for sure that Percy and Annabeth had somehow saved me from getting killed. But judging by the unfamiliar place, it wasn't them.

I saw a glass of water on the nightstand. I grabbed it and gulped it down immediately. I was still not satisfied, but I decided that I would get the heck out of here and go back to camp. I sighed. I had ran away from camp, in hopes that I would find a friend. But it didn't work out. I just found an ex-friend and was nearly killed.

I pushed the sheets back and stumbled towards the window. Then the memories started to rush back towards me.

Flashback

I clutched my head, sobbing. I wanted to die. I wanted to leave this world. I already had gotten the Golden Fleece with Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson. And I took the plunge off the cliff to save Annebeth. Maybe I could get into Elysium.

I looked at the bloody knife, then at my new scars. Blood dropped down my arms and thighs. I continued to sob, until I was laughing maniacally. It was because of the stupid curse that Lyssa children had. You have these insane fits until you find true love. True, unconditional, love. I dropped to my knees, still laughing like an unstable person, which I was. Then my laughing turned to screaming. I clutched my head once more and continued to scream. Pain was rushing through me.
