Still Lucas POV
As I walked down the halls I see couples . I see them holding hands kissing each other. Being able to be out in public I wish me and Riley were like that. But the only "public" place we can be is in her bedroom or mine. I really feel bad for making her go through this. Just always having to lie. She used to be the most honest person I knew now it's me and her lying to everyone. I can't do this to her anymore. The only way to show I love her is to let her go. After school I walked over to Riley's house. "Hey"I said quietly.
"Hi babe"she said cheerfully. Just to think I am about to make her not so smiley.
"Come sit down I want to talk to you about something" she nods and come sits next to me. "I love you" I say quietly
"I love you more than words can describe" she whispers.
"I am sorry" she looks at me confused
"For what" she questions
"What I am about to say." I look at her dead in the eyes. " we need to break up. I can't live with myself knowing that.. I am making your life a lie" I wipe away a tear that roles down her check slowly. "I love you......and that will never change! Just for now we need to.... go our separate ways" I say as a few tears run down my check.she shakes her head no.
"Come on. Don't do this to me! Please I am okay being in a lie! Please.."she whispered.
"Bye Riles" I say.
"No only my friends get to call me Riles! I don't want you to me anything to me anymore!"she shouted
"Don't do this" I whispered.
"I think you should leave" she said.
"What will are friends think"I question
"Just lie"she said.
"You know, it's funny how I ended this so you didn't have to lie! I did this so you couldn't be caught in a lie! Don't you understand I LUCAS FRAIR LOVE RILEY MATTHEWS!!!!!!! and if you can't except that then goodbye for ever. Just say something and I want go". She stands there quietly. "Okay of that's how you feel"I say leaving.
"Wait!!" She shouted.
"Your to late. Bye forever."I said.
