>>The wind whipped my curly orange hair as I stumbled through the field of flowers. All ranging in beautiful colors. Darks, lights and other. My tiny feet jumped over the occasional branches and fallen limbs. My giggles could be hear for miles. I whipped my head back to make sure he wasn't chasing me. I hid behind the nearest tree and sat down picking at the dandelions surrounding the base of the tree. Silently awaiting his approach.

I took that time to think about what mommy and daddy could have prepared for lunch when I returned home. Daddy said that tonight I would dress like a princess and walk through the town with him on a special night out. I had asked him if we could get ice cream and he approved that it would be a very delicious treat to have after dinner tonight. I swirled an orange rose around in my small pudgy hands that I picked up during my dash to hiding.

I breathed in the scent of the land that we were playing in. The trees smelled wet from the morning dew and my sparkly pink shoes got a little dirty running through the meadows. But what I was mostly trying to pick up was his smell. He had a way of hiding his scent when playing with me so as to surprise me when he jumped out of bushes and tagged me to be it. With no luck I curled up under the tree and left myself drift into a short nap as the wind gently played at the ends of my short hair.

I was awoken abruptly by a pounce onto my body. Towering over me lay my friend.

Dimitri. He was my special friend daddy once told me. I had to promise to never hurt Dimitri and to always forgive him when he made an accident. I giggled as he began to tinkle me. His black hair flopped into my face when he reached over to tinkle my throat. It was my weak spot and he knew it. He had always been older than me by two years. That's why mommy and daddy trusted me to leave the house with him. Cause he was sorta a grownup he says.

In my sweet innocent childlike voice I reprimanded him for leaving me out here so long. "'Mitri why you make me wait so long? I thought you left me out here 'lone. I almost got scared." I pouted my cute little pink lips and quivered my chin at him to show him how scared I got.

"Oh no! 'Veah! Please don't cry. I didn't mean to frighten you. Come here I'll give you big hug okay?" he had a worry brow like mama says daddy has where he gets a crease on his forehead  when he thinks something bad happened. I giggled and showed him my pearly white teeth in a huge smile and lunged at him. We fell over laughing on the ground giving each other big hugs. Mitri gave me a big sloppy kiss on my forehead before lifting us both up off the ground.

"How bout we go home now and watch a movie just you and me?" he asked. I gladly shook my head in reply and we walked hand in hand back home where mommy and daddy greeted us both with food and a blankie to lay on the couch with. That afternoon I sat with my bestest friend and enjoyed my day. I always kinda thought he was cute. But daddy always warned me that boys have cooties so I never talked about my secret little crush with anyone.

That was between me and my subconscious. I laid my head over and fell asleep on Dimitri. With a whispered an I love you in my ear he wrapped his arms around me and I fell into my deep slumber.<<

I awoke with a start. I coughed as soon as my lungs opened enough to breathe. It hurt my sore body. I rolled over and groaned in pain to look around the room I was laid up in. Startled with the unfamiliarity of the room I sat up straight and curled my legs into my chest against the headboard of the bed I was lying in. The covers pooled around my bare feet and I registered my attire. I had been put into a large pair of sweats and a big black t-shirt. I only vaguely remember the events of the night before.

Subconsciously I reached down to feel my ankle that had healed already. I then ran my hands up my legs and to my torso where I had previously had many broken ribs which have healed as well. I touched my face gently to feel for the marks the rogue had left upon my face and found them all gone. I only had the remnants of a sore body left to take its toll on me before I was completely restored of health.
