Since Sakura's kidnapping, the shinobi of Konoha have not stopped searching for her. Few had argued that this big search party for one measly medical ninja was pointless; which made Sasuke furious.
But Naruto shushed them up quickly. By stating that Sakura was from their village, and anyone who lives in his village is his family. Sakura wasn't just a measly medical ninja that can be replaced; she was Konoha's strongest medical ninja and one of the strongest kunoichis in the world. But the most important, is that she is a loving mother and wife.
Hearing him defend his wife like that; Sasuke was thankful to call this dobe his best friend.
Naruto even asked for assistance from the other four great ninja villages, thankfully they all agreed to help. Now with more help on their side, it wouldn't be long till they find Sakura and bring her home.
At least that's what they had hoped.
A month had already passed and still no sign of Sakura.
With each passing second, Sasuke grew more agitated and more worried. He couldn't even focus on anything anymore with his mind so distracted. And it infuriated him that he wasn't out there searching for his wife; he would've already found her by now. But he couldn't leave behind his daughter, who needs him now more than ever.
~8:30am~
The Uchiha household lost its light in the one month that Sakura been gone. It felt empty in that house again.
Sasuke knew this feeling quite well. Ever since the massacre of his clan; that's all he ever felt, emptiness. But meeting Team 7 and falling in love with Sakura took away that feeling, and he felt complete. With her not here beside him, he feels ... lonely.
Sasuke hasn't got much sleep lately, he tries to make himself go back to sleep, but to no avail. So he gives up and gets out of bed to make breakfast for Sarada. He rubs his swollen eyes and walks downstairs to the kitchen. Pausing halfway down the stairs and immediately walks back up to check on Sarada, "she's sound asleep, good."
Even with one arm Sasuke can still manage to cook a full basic meal. But in his opinion, Sakura's cooking far surpasses his.
Creak creak. Sasuke turned his head to find his half asleep daughter walking down the steps. "Ohayou papa."
Sasuke smiled seeing his adorable little girl's sleeping face. "Ohayou Sarada, I made breakfast for you."
Sarada's face lit up when she heard breakfast, she sped walk towards the table ready to be served. Sasuke grabbed the plate of food and placed them on the table. "Itadakimasu."
They both ate in silence for the first couple of minutes.
"Sarada."
Sarada lifting her face up, her mouth full of food. "Hmpmh pmhm (yes papa)?" (I'm sorry but I had no idea how to describe someone with their mouth full. So I just type something random)
Lightly chuckles. "Maybe you should finish eating before speaking Sarada."
Sarada's cheek turn a slight red from the embarrassment.
"Just like her mother."
"I'm leaving in a few to the hokages office for another meeting. Make sure to let me know at who's house you'll be staying at today, so I can pick you up later. Alright?"
Sarada nods, "haaaiii, I'll be staying with aunty Hinata today."
Looking at Sarada made him feel relieved but also full of guilt.
