Chapter One
Bella's POV
I watched out the car window as our old house suddenly became out of view, the memories staying with it. I looked over my shoulder and saw tears in the eyes of Olivia my eleven year old sister. I also felt tears building up in mine. Dad continued staring straight ahead, not taking his eyes off the road, not even to have one last look.
Dad explained it all to us. He can't stand living in the same house nor city and I completely agree with him, its time to start over new. It wasn't that hard to say goodbye to my friends I didn't really have any I just thought it was best to stay by myself, I only ended up making one friend.
"Dad?" Olivia's voice called from the back.
"Yes honey?" Dad answered back waiting for her to reply.
"I really, really need to use the bathroom." I turned back and saw her wriggling in her seat.
"But we've only been driving for like 10 minutes; how can you already need to go toilet?" I was basically shouting at her, annoyed that she's making us stop, I just want to hurry up and get the new house.
"Calm down Bella we'll just have a quick stop of at the nearest petrol station I need to get some gas anyway." Dad answered, turning the car around "I think I saw one back that way."
We pulled into the gas station and Olivia quickly got out of the car and bolted into the store. "Bella, quick go follow her and make sure she doesn't get into any trouble."
I rushed after her and into the shop and saw her standing helplessly in the middle of the store, shelfs and shelfs surrounding her.
"Bella, I don't know where to go." she said.
"Come with me and we'll ask someone." we went up to the counter and there was a middle aged man standing there who looked like he showed absolutely no emotion. "Excuse me, would we be able to use the bathroom?" I asked, pointing to my sister who was basically jumping up and down.
"You have to buy something to use it" he answered back sternly.
"My Dads outside getting petrol, now can you please show us where the bathroom is?" I answered back becoming really impatient.
"No, I said you have to buy something, not your Dad."
I sighed and quickly rummaged through my pockets in hope of finding some change. Luckily I found some. I grabbed a lollipop off the counter and pushed it in front of him along with the coins.
"There you happy now? Can you just hurry up and show us the stupid bathroom, I don't know how much longer she'll be able to hold on for."
"Come on you have to buy more than one little lollipop." He replied.
"But I don't have enough for more than one little lollipop! You have to let her use the bathroom." I shouted at him.
"Woah calm down, just follow me." he said walking out from behind the counter. I grabbed Olivia's hand and started to follow but Olivia didn't budge, she stayed exactly where she was.
"Aren't you coming?" I asked her.
"But I don't need to go anymore Bells" she answered with the sweetest smile on her face. I couldn't believe this. I basically stormed out of the shop but not before checking that she was following and sure enough she was skipping happily behind me.
"You girls took awhile in there," Dad mentioned as we got back to the car.
"Yeah well it turned out that little miss Olivia over there didn't even need to use the bathroom in the first place." I said, giving Olivia an annoyed look.
"I did need to go!" she stated "I just stopped needing to go."
"Who just stops needing to go? Gosh you can be such a little brat sometimes."
"Bella! You apologise to your sister right now or we will just stay here." Dad demanded.
"I'm sorry Olivia." I said, turning back and looking at her.
"For?" Dad questioned.
"I'm sorry that your such a little brat."
"Right Bella that's it, as soon as we get to our new home you are grounded and I expect you to make it up to your little sister." Dad explained pulling out of the petrol station giving me the I don't want to hear anymore from you look.
For the rest of the drive I just sat there staring out the window listening to Olivia ramble on about all the new friends she's gonna make and how awesome her new school is going to be.
The house was exactly as I imagined. It was just your average three bedroom house, one bathroom house. My room was the futherest from everything, I don't know why but I liked it that way.
After making the room my own by hanging up posters and placing my stuff everywhere I sat on my bed and admired it.
I knew one thing was sure, I had to check out this new town but there was just on tiny problem. I'm grounded an the main part about being grounded I you are not allowed to leave the house unless necessary. I guess I'm just gonna have to find another way to get out of this house.
"Bella, dinners ready." Dad called from down the hall.
"Coming." I yelled back, hardly believing that the time went so fast.
As I got down stairs and noticed that Olivia and Dad were sitting face to face on the floor seeing as most of our furniture hasn't arrived yet, only the things for mine and Olivia's rooms.
I grabbed my dinner and went to go sit far away in a corner of the room, not really wanting to talk to any of them.
As I picked at my vegetables I thought of ways I could get out of the house. They included going out the window, pretending my foot hurt so I had to go for a run for it to feel better but the safest option would just be to wait until everyone's asleep and simply go out the front door.
So that is what I did.
