2020 UPDATE:

Hello Everyone, I do not know how many people are going to be reading this since it has been many years since I have been on Wattpad and updated this story. However, since everything that is currently going on and being bored out of my mind, I thought I would read over this story, edit it, and potentially add to it. So also have just gotten back into listening to One Direction after their breakup, so if I do add any new chapters, be patient with me as I may be rusty with the information! :)

Also, I want to warn everyone, I am no means a writer. I started this for fun and will continue to do this for fun and to keep me entertained throughout this quarantine. I hope that if you take the time to read the story if it is for the first time or second that you leave a comment telling me how I am doing and if I should think about changing anything. I am open to any comments!

There are times that I wish my life were different. I have gone through a lot over the years, made some incredible friends, and been on many adventures, but up until this point, I have always had my best friend by my side. Niall James Horan has been my all-time best friend since before I can remember, but things were about to change. At the time, I did not know if it was for the good or bad.

My name is Kristina Quinn, I am 16 years old and live in Ireland (obviously!). Here is the story of how my best friend, Niall, auditioned for the X-Factor, and how I handled everything that happened afterward!

Kristina's POV:

It was early on a rainy morning when I heard the news. My mother had woke me up to let me know that Niall was waiting at the door to see me before heading to his audition, which was in 2 hours. He was auditioning for the X-Factor UK, and I was extremely excited for him to begin his new journey, but something inside me wondered what was going to happen to us if he got on and won.

I walked downstairs in my pajamas and greeted Niall at the door. Ushered him inside to sit down on the couch to discuss his song selection. 

"I am assuming you know what song you are going to audition with?" I asked him as I curled up in a blanket and tried not to fall back to sleep. This boy comes over to my house at 4 am and expects me to stay awake.

"I am actually stuck between two songs," he replied, joining me under the blanket but sat facing me at the other end of the couch.

"You know what song I want you to sing," I state to him flatly. I had been telling him for weeks that So Sick by Ne-Yo would be a great audition song for him. It fit his vocals, showed off his range, and just worked with him so perfectly.

"Yes, I know, but I was thinking of doing Baby by Justin Bieber," he said as I rolled my eyes. Justin Bieber was his idol, and he absolutely loved all his music. "But, I think you have convinced me to sing So Sick." He smiled and winked at me.

"I definitely think that is the best song that is going to show off your vocals the best!" I exclaim and beg him to perform a bit for me before he has to head off to the audition. I can tell he has practiced this song a lot over the last couple of weeks after I suggested he sing it. He sounds better than he did even previous week, which proves to me that he is really trying to get through the auditions. "You sound incredible, Nialler! You are going to do a fantastic job! I wish I could come with you to the audition."
