Chapter 1 ~ Alex

I was sitting in my room and Ben walks in with his laptop in one hand with a bowl of popcorn on top and his phone in the other. I can tell he is trying not to trip over anything while walking in.

"Are you ready?" he says.

"For?" I say back

"Oh just the best show in the world"

"Ooo so we are going to watch pretty little liars?"

"Ew no!" he remarks with a gross look on his face. "I was thinking teen wolf. I can't stand the fact that I have to wait a whole week before seeing Scott's face."

"Fine." I agree as he is already putting it on this laptop.

He started it back from the beginning... Again

"Really? Why do you always do this? I don't you just watch the new episode?" I complain

"Oh quit complaining. You know you love Scott. And either way, the more we have to watch the better. " he smirks.

I got back to watching the show as Scott gets bitten by an animal.. But they don't know what it is.

My phone starts ringing, which is weird because I don't normally have anyone to talk to other than Ben and he's sitting right next to me. It was my mom saying she will be home late and my brother is leaving so I will be home alone. I say okay and we hang up.

Ben looks over "you know I'm staying the night right?"

"I know, you always do." I remark

Ben is allowed to stay really any time because he is my best friend and nothing will happen between us because well.. He is gay.. We have been best friends since first grade, and now we are in tenth. So my parents don't really care anymore. They know he's gay and even if he wasn't we wouldn't do anything like that.

Ben was on his phone and I happen to look over and see a guy that I haven't seen before, but Ben was practically drooling. And I can understand why. That guy was pretty hot.

"Who is that?"

"Derek Tyler" he responds. "He's the new guy and I heard he went to juvy."

"Well.. There go my chance of being with him"

Bad boys aren't my type. I've always like the cute nerd guys who don't know they are cute which makes them even cuter.

After an hour of watching teen wolf I decode to get up and check the mail, leaving Ben in my room.
  I get outside and I look like total crap, but I'm just checking the mail so who cares? No one important is gonna see me.

  I look up from my phone and just over the lawn I see the guy I saw earlier.

The hot guy.

Derek.

But why is he over there? Unless he moved in...

He looks up from his phone and sees me looking over at him... I immediately look away and got to the mail box without looking at him again.

I can feel his eyes on me as I turn around and walk quickly into my house.

I get inside and Ben is sitting on the counter. 

I guess I had a weird look on my face because he asked what was wrong.

I told him that I just saw Derek across the street.

Ben made the same face I did and asked if he moved in?

I didn't know, and I don't want to know. I didn't want him across the street from me. He will be a distraction and he will cause trouble.. That's the last thing i need is a distraction.
