Casey drove away from the shrinks office with a strange feeling of serenity. It's been a long time since she's had the ability in admitting aloud that she excepts the weight of her abuse.
Pulling into the driveway she is welcomed by her beloved.
Logan engulfs her in a bear hug.
"I just wanna hold onto you and never let you go."
He kisses her forehead and with a heavy sigh she steps away.
"What's the matter baby? How was your visit with the doc?"
She gingerly caresses his face with her fingertips.
"It was okay. Same damm shit he always tells me. ^Come to terms...your future depends on it^ I think we're doin pretty dam fine. Don't you love?"
"Of course Casey, darling, but he's right you know. We need to be able to move forward from this. Have children like we've always talked about."
Logan lets his voice trail off. He doesn't want to upset her. Push her away, like everyone else always has. He just wants her to feel loved and appreciated the way she's supposed to.
"Come on! Lets go rent a movie and relax. I'll rub your back for a bit. I know how much you like that." She grabs his hand and pulls him towards the bedroom.
"Always trying to make everyone else happy." His tone was more harsh than intended.
She slowly lets his hand fall from hers. His words cut through her like a gnawed on butter knife. Slicing open an ancient wound.
