"Why do you always stare at that guy?"
I turned around to look at my best friend. "Huh?"
She nods towards our P.E classmate. "I noticed just last week. What's so interesting about him really?"
I just rolled my eyes at her and said, "It doesn't matter, Riley. I just think he's weird."
Riley raised an eyebrow then looked at the guy again. "Yeah, well. I can see that. He looks like a total geek. No friends and always has a book in his hands," she said, looking at me.
I nodded and never spoke after that. After a moment of silence, Riley took the basketball that was pinched between my arm and hip. "Hey!" I exclaimed.
"Come and get it!" she yelled as she dribbles the ball across the court.

The feeling of washing up after a sweaty workout is always the best. I put on my make-up just as Riley came out from one of the stalls. "Y'know. I am starting to think you might be digging the geeks."
I looked up and groaned. "Not this again," I complained.
Riley leaned her hands on the sink. "Come on! Tell me why you're into him! I am your best friend! Best friends are supposed to know each other's love lives!"
I sighed deeply and surrendered myself. "Alright. Fine. Don't laugh."
Riley's eyes gleamed as she came closer to me.
"I think he was my husband in another life," I finally said. Riley just stood there, not moving. "Um, hello?" I said as I waved my hand in front of her face.
Out of the blue, she burst out laughing. "You're kidding me, right?" she said.
I shook my head in disappointment. "I knew I shouldn't have said anything."
Riley started to laugh and hung her arms around my shoulders. "Oh you and your little fantasy bubble. You could actually start writing a book."
I pushed her arms from my shoulders and said, "Say whatever you want Riley. I've got History class next."
Riley shook her body in teasing manner. "Ooh. A class with your nerdy crush. Tell me all the juicy details. I will actually buy you your favorite juice box then. "
I scoffed at her. "Gosh. You're unbelievable," I said as I packed my towel, toilet necessities and P.E clothes into my bag.
"See ya later, lovebird," Riley cooed before I left the bathroom.
As soon as I entered History class, my eyes automatically scanned the class in hopes that Oliver O'Brien would be sitting at his usual. A smile formed on my face when my eyes landed on him. I went ahead to sit beside him. I greeted him but I always get his usual nod which I take as a "hello".
It's been almost a week since Oliver came to my high school. Ever since then, I kept having dreams or visions of him as my husband. Sometimes, I get it in between classes. It's a weird feeling when these visions happens. It feels like you're getting sucked into a vacuum and when it ends, you'd feel a temporary dizziness.
Anyway, I am already used to it. Seriously though. Why am I the only one conscious about this while he isn't? If he really is my husband in another life then why isn't he saying anything? Is it just me? I can't believe this!
After History class ended (Thank God), I was just getting ready to leave until Oliver held my arm. I had the shock of my life when he did that. I mean, after 5 days of no contact, he's starting to communicate!?
