"Doctor, is she going to be okay?" Keisha asks.

"Her right arm is broken in 2 places along with several of her fingers from where she was pinned against the steering wheel. She has a few bruised ribs, and we are waiting for the head CT to come back. She'll be in a lot of pain for a while, when she regains consciousness, so until then she's been given pain medication. It's a miracle she made it out alive, to be honest with you," he replies in a point blank, direct manner.

"You do know that she is allergic to Morphine right?"

"Yes, it's in her chart."

"I can't believe this! I just had lunch with her this afternoon."

"Keep your faith. She made it this far. She must be a fighter."

"You're right about that."

"Is there someone you need us to get in touch with for her?" The Doctor asks.

"Hmm, no I called her parents already and as far as her husband goes...he isn't answering his phone," she sucks her teeth, as she explains.

"Oh I see."

"They were supposed to go out tonight. It is their five year anniversary."

"I guess that's why she was dressed the way she was," he smiles and looks down at his clipboard.

"What do you mean?"

"She was only wearing, what I assume is lingerie and a big coat."

"That's my girl, always trying to do something to spice things up."

"Well, I'll give you some time with your sister."

"Thank you doctor."

Keisha walks back over to the bed and sits down in a blue chair. She takes her best friends hand into hers as tears fall from her eye, onto the back of her hand.

"I hope you don'tmind that I told them I was your sister. They called me because I'm listed asyour emergency contact person in your phone... but, I wasn't sure what they woulddo, since I'm not technically family. Girl you better not die on me, you hear me!"She cries softly and holds her bestie's hand tightly. 2������
