When we got there, she locked the door.
"Are you trying to murder me?" I asked dumbly.
"Ella." she said.
"Mother." I smiled and threw my arms around her.

Mhm, I am the princess. I was the whole time. King Conor is my dad. There were pirates who tried to kill me, but luckily, I ran away. I was sent off to a school I didn't want to go to. I went undercover. What was I supposed to do? What would you have done?

My brother got 'lost' too. His name was Leo. My other brother, the one still alive, he knew it was me the second I walked in to eat here. I saw him glare while smiling at me. He had black hair and dark eyes.

Me and my mother talked the half hour away. We decided it was time to go back. Everyone questioned us when we got back. They all glared at me. Dad didn't recognize me, did he?

They all talked the night away as I sat in silence, deep in thought. It was time to leave. I watched the other girls curtsy, and after a hard hit from Bria, I found myself curtsying too. I've never done that before. Ew. It felt wrong as a princess, curtsying to my mother and father. I'm gonna miss them. My mother smiled at me as I leave, trembling. I forgot I couldn't walk. I stumbled along, smiling and trying oddly not to look dumb.

"Myla, why did she pull you aside to go to the restroom? Obviously you had some problems in there?" asked Kohen.
"Nope. She just asked me who I was and about me, and... stuff." I said. What was I supposed to say?
Kohen glared at me again. Did he know I was lying? Luckily, Clair saved me and tried to change the subject.

"So...how long does it take to get back?" she asked.
"Not long." Kohen was now giving me the death stare.
"That's good.." Clair said oddly.
The rest of the ride was in complete silence.

When we got back, it was at least 10:00 at night. Kohen ordered us to go straight to bed. The vigils untied me and I ran up to the room.
"Thanks for trying to save me earlier." I said to Clair.
She grunted in acknowledgement and pulled the blanket over her head.

The other girls were both asleep in about an hour. I slowly tiptoed across the room to the window. It was wet outside, so I would have to be extra careful. I climbed across the wall and looked in each window until I found Jaron's room. Hanging on to the window with one hand, I used the other to tap on the window. Jaron wasn't asleep so, puzzled, he rushed to the window and let me in.

"Hey." I said casually.
"What are you doing?" He rolled his eyes playfully.
"We're leaving." I said. After a long argue with him, he finally stopped talking and nodded.
"I warned you I was the Queen of Arguing." I whispered while laughing.
I motioned for him to start climbing with me down.
"We're on the third floor, we would die if we climbed." he said alarmingly.
"Watch and learn." I whispered.

After we were both safely on the ground, we decided if we were going to run or use horses.
"Are you sure you can keep up with me?" I asked, laughing.
"I'll manage." He gave a friendly light punch and we set off running towards town.

I was obviously a lot faster than him. When we finally made our way to a close by town, we sat down on a bench right outside a small shop. We were both panting too hard to talk to each other. Eventually, I fell asleep.

"How long was I asleep?" I asked him drowsily.
"Atleast an hour. Myla, I've gotta tell you something." he said.
"Me too.." I said.
"Okay, I'll go first." we both said at the same time.
"You go first?" I said.
"Okay. Well, you know how Kohen is training you guys to be the lost princess? Well.. the princess has a brother. Prince Leo." he said slowly.
I nodded my head.
"Well, I'm him." He said.

I gasped and jumped out of my seat.
"Heeeyy, brother.. Im Ella." I said. It was clear he was my brother the whole time.
He imitated my gasp and jumped out of his seat too. We stared at each other for a long time.
After a while, I decided to break the silence.
"Ahem, what's wrong with that?" We both said at the same time again.
"Get out of my head!" I yelled.
"I had it first!" He said.
I muttered that it wasn't nice to judge by age.
"Myla, we have to go back. You have to get chosen."
"But we just got out!" I said.
"Yes, and we have to go back. Do it for Fryna." He countered.
"But.." I couldn't think of what to say.

"Come on, Ella. You know there's nothing else we can do. You have always been so stubborn, but you know we have to! Don't run away from your problems, Ella! Or should I say Myla?" He started to run back.

I stood there. Leo never yelled, not once. I didn't want to go back. What was I supposed to do now, though? I had to stay with my brother. I started to run back after Leo. I was a lot faster than him, so it would be no problem getting there before he could hurt himself climbing back up the house.

I let the wind run through my blonde hair, sweating and panting the whole
way. My throat burned because I hadn't stopped running at full speed. I finally made it back to Kohen's house. Leo was barely climbing (and failing miserably) up the house. He was still at the bottom, struggling to get up. I went over and helped him back into his room. He climbed inside and I started to go to my room, but he pulled me back.

"I'm sorry I acted like that. I didn't mean any of it..." he said.
I smiled. "It's fine. I've gotta go win, I'll see you later." I threw my arm around him, and almost fell because I forgot I was only holding on the window with one hand.

When I went back outside my room, the window was closed. Clair might let me in. I tapped on the glass and Clair burst out of her bed and walked over to the window. Bria was still asleep.

"Clair, can you let me in?" I said through the glass. She smiled wickedly.
"Well, this is an interesting scenario we have here, isn't it?" She said.
"What?" I asked.
"Hmm. How about I go get Kohen really quickly? He would think it was very interesting, no?" she said.
"What do you want?" I asked.
She thought about it for a minute.
"Nothing." She said with a smile on her face, returning to bed.

I was stranded. My knee didn't hurt at all anymore, which was good. I could just walk in through Leo's room. But, if I was caught, I would be outside his room and he would get in trouble. I'll find a way. I always do.

I weighed my options. My first option was to go through Leo's room. The second one was to stay outside and wait. The third was to run back to town. My first option won.
