(Toya) . . .

3 weeks later . . .

Knock Knock Knock!

I rolled over pulling the covers over my face and trying my hardest to block out the noises of somebody banging on my room door. Who ever it was was being childish enough to make a damn beat as they knocked. I groaned out as I sat up.

Stretching, I looking around and yarwning. I've been here three weeks straight cooped up in this damn mansion. With only Tommie as company and usually he's always busy and working. I begged him into letting me outside to swim in the pool and thank God I got him to do that. I began to become lonely in this place, I even started talking to pictures on the damn wall.

Knock Knock Knock! Ugh. Whoever it was I was going to kill them. I quickly walked to the door then unlocked it, yanking it open my eye's admittedly shot to a grinning Tommie.

"What the fuck do you want?" I snapped. Looking up at him. His dreads was pulled back into a ponytail, showing off his perfect jaw line.

"Sorry to wake you princess but I made a huge breakfast and I wanted to share." He said with that perfect smile. I basically melted. I smiled then turned to handle my business in the bathroom. I quickly grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste and brushed my teeth. Then I washed my face and used the bathroom.

After I was done I washed my hands and walked out the bathroom. When I stepped out Tommie had my diary reading. I gasped then rushed over to him I snatched my diary away then pushed him.

"You piece of shit. This is mines!" I yelled while pointing my finger dead in his face. He grabbed my hand then covered my mouth with his big hand. I wanted to bite him, but I back down on that thought thinking on back when I first got here and how he whooped my ass.

"I'm sorry." Was all he said. "I was just curious." He shrugged.

"Curiosity killed the cat." I snapped back. He chuckled then sat on my bed. He pat the spot next to him and when I just stood there like a maniac he smirked.

"I don't bite, unless you want my to." He ran his tongue along his teeth making my breathing come out shallow. This man was getting to me. Him chuckling brung me back to my sense.  I sat down right next to him, our arm touching and everything.

"Do you have nightmares about your father?" I asked first. I was so curious about his father. Sometimes I hear him talking to his father. Begging him to watch over him and then sometimes it turns into tears and sometimes he becomes angry and then punch the wall. I remember when I walked in to see about five holes in the wall. He was on the ground crying. It hurted me seeing him like that. He ran his fingers through his dreads which I notice what he does when he's in deep thought or trying to find the right way to answer.

"Always." He said flatly. "Not a day goes by with out me wondering who killed my father. I miss my father." I looked over at him. He looked calmed but deep down we both knew he was hurting. And badly.

My stomach growled, making me remember that Tommie had cooked. I stood up walking passed Tommie and walking towards the kitchen. Pancakes, eggs, sausage links, hashbrowns, and orange juice covered only half of the large table. I grinned then sat at the table. Tommie walked in also. He made both of our plates and as we ate he didn't say much. I regretted even asking him.

"What are you doing today, or are you busy like you always are?" I asked biting one of the delicious sausage links. He cut his eye's over at me then sighed.

"I ain't doing shit today. It's Friday so ima just chill." He spoke as he stood up and empty his plate. I grabbed three more sausage links and handed my plate to him, he grabbed it then placed it in the sink. It was the end of May so it was hot. I wanted nothing more but to swim.
