You were a Slytherin, proud of it at that. But you were not like the other Slytherin students at all. You were friends with many other students from the houses that the other Slytherin despised with all of their souls. You also respected all of the teachers, even Mr. Filch. You were used to all of the discrimination and hate from others, but you were born and raised at Hogwarts and didn't give a damn about the others who had hate towards you.

"Y/N!" you heard a voice shout from down the hall

You walked and soon were greeted by the friendly smile of Professor Lupin.

"Good Afternoon Remus" you said hugging him tightly

"Class is starting soon love, so let's keep it formal for now alright" he said letting go of you and holding you shoulders.

"Of course Professor, my apologies" you said smiling at him

"That's my girl, now did you remember to bring your wand this time?" he asked

"Yes sir" you said

"Splendid, now go take a seat and the others will be here shortly" he said kissing your forehead and letting you walk past him.

It was nice being close to the teachers like this, but of course a few of them still didn't approve of you calling them by their first names. A few of them allowed it, but only a handful.

"Out of my way Potter" you heard a harsh voice say as students began to flood the room.

You knew exactly who the voice belonged to, and you cringed as he sat across from you. But you smiled as a familiar brunette sat next to you.

"Hey Harry" you said as he turned to you and smiled

"Oh Y/N, I'm so glad to see you" he said hugging you from the side

"Tough time at class huh?" you said

"You have no idea..." he said laying his head on the desk

You played with his hair and chuckled as he groaned in "agony".

"Poor Mr. Potter" you said laughing louder than you thought you would

"Shut up Y/N" Harry said grinning at you

"Never, you can't make me" You said as he lightly punched your shoulder

While you were joking around with your best friend, someone sitting across from you was observing quietly and felt a hint of...jealousy?

This someone was Draco Malfoy. He wasn't a friend, or an enemy. He was more of an acquaintance to be said. He didn't have feelings for you, and neither did you for him. But when you two were alone, it was like having a rabid dog caged in with a cat. Not good at all to say the least.

"Good Afternoon Class" Lupin said and the chattering immediately silenced.

As class started, you and Harry continued to kick, punch, pinch, and bug each other. You kicked him in the shin with the heel of your shoe, and he jumped up. Consequently, hitting his knees against the wooden desk. You both tried to hide your laughter and giant grins, but after Harry whispered something to you, you lost it and put your face in his lap to keep from bursting out laughing. Harry was also trying hard not to laugh.

"Mr. Potter, Ms. L/N" Lupin said suddenly

"Would you kindly explain the appearance of the animal I named" he said

Harry froze and tapped your head; you sat up still holding back a smile and looked as Lupin.

"Fast runner, Wing span as long as Snapes cloak, and is extremely poisonous" you said without a second thought.
