The Cave

Hello All! I am back! and that's a record! Lol, 2 years to write/publish a chapter eh? Thank you for being super patient for old readers, and as of to new readers, WELCOME! As we all know of this current pandemic situation, everyone is now at home with lots of more FREE TIME! so here I am, decided to continue this story. :D Enjoy!

Lilaca's side

" I'm not surprised to see how you're so relaxed living in this cave all these years", Lilaca said, flicking her stare at her biological uncle, as she gazed around the room. 
" Well, I did tried to leave, but after knowing that everything you could ever want or need will be granted so easily here.... I've changed my mind"
Lilaca nodded, understanding what he meant.
" Isn't it like a dream come true? When you entered this enchanted cave that will satisfy all your wishes? Despite at the same time you will have to leave everything behind completely?" he said.

" But... what is this place? Where did it came from?", She asked him, she needed to know, at least a bit of it. Lilaca knows that either the guards or her prince will be coming after her, and it's only a matter of time til they run in to this cave and found her trapped in it. She got to get moving. " It was already hard to believe that this is actually a stone cave.. in Azurian." She added to Lone. Caves like these are often either buried under the snows or frozen in ice completely in her country, never did one manage to stand tall above the surface or remain unfroze.
" About that, Well..." he replied. " I have no idea."
" Well that's a useful piece of information.", Lilaca said sarcastically, there's no need to be polite anyways. She's not inside that meeting room anymore, and even if what Lone had said was true that he was her uncle, he's still a total stranger. " Is there any other way out at all, like, ones that are not blocked with an invisible wall?"
He fell silent for a moment, and say " Do you want to leave?"
" You said we're trapped in here right? That sounds no different from being inside the castle, or the capital.", Lilaca explained. " Besides, they'll most likely execute me for leaving my duties, once they find me. and I wish to keep my head intacted." 
" Are you sure that they're even going to send out troops out to hunt you down at all?" Lone asked back, his head leaning to the side. " The court is probably discussing about your replacement by now, for all we know." 
His words stings her a bit, but it's true. There has been many opposers who wanted to get her away from the crown ever since she could remember, but... she would still believe that one or two people would want her back... Lillia would've, maybe Ravenna too, she was her father's best friend afterall. " I still don't want to risk it, I need to be on my way now." said Lilaca, her eyes showed determination.
" Do you know where would you go once you leave?" this question was hard for her to answer.. to where though... She have no idea at the moment, the main purpose of her leaving the castle was to leave those courtiers and her duties, but what next? Lilaca have forgotten to think about that... 
" I don't know...", she uttered. Lone lazily smiled and let out a tired sigh at her answer, like he was expecting it. " But still.."
" I want to be free, I want to be outside.", said Lilaca, " I don't want to be held down by those invisible chains, and suffocate around the walls with windows that only shows me a partial fragment of the world, not to mention the same arguments with people who isn't taking my opinion seriously, but hiding here is no different either this cave grants you everything you ever wish for except your wish to live a life, really living one."
" Well said, Princess.", A smile grew in Lone's face, he pointed at where now there's a tunnel emerged on the stone walls of the cave. " This will lead you to an exit." 
" How would you know?", She asked skeptically. 
" Let's just say I know, dear princess. Now go.", He said and a sudden shiver ran through Lilaca's spine when she felt a strong wind coming from the tunnel Lone just pointed at. She observed it and felt the cold wind again, so cold it stings her face. " Lone what--", she turned but found that that was man gone, as if he disappeared without a single sound or movement. Lilaca's brows furrowed in confusion, " What the.." she blurted, twisting her head to look around the room.
Lilaca looked back at the tunnel and felt the cold wind again... it was faint, but enough to convince her that there must indeed be a way out. " Eden!", she called her horse, it stood up at her command and move towards her. Lilaca grabbed the leash that was hanging from it. 
After pulling out a lantern and lit with fire.
" Let's go." The princess whispered, As she and her horse marched in to the darkness. 

Izana's Side

" Watch your step...", Ravenna said over her shoulder to Izana, as she's riding ahead.
" Thank you for your consideration, Lady Ravenna", He thanked her, though, he's already taking his own precautions.
They have been striding in the snow on the back of their horses for hours... The blizzard that hit the day before really did a fantastic job in piling up the already thick snow. The Lady did her best to lead the troop search as much as possible before dusk came upon them, but the prince knew deep in his mind, with this amount of people, not even half of area will be cleared by the next day. 

She must've been desperate to go as far as using this route... He thought to himself, as he gaze drift across the snow and the mountains beyond it. 
" So what about her royal highness caught your attention? Prince Izana?", he just realized that Ravenna slowed down and has been riding beside him this whole time...
" Oh sorry Milady? What did you just say?"
" Why did you decided to take her highness as your bride? Even though you knew the both of you will be claiming your own thrones and live separately even after you got married...", She said. 
" Hmm, I wonder about that too", he responded with a soft sigh.
" You don't seem to be like ill intention type of person, but to call for an engagement with her highness just really sparks my curiosity.", She added.
Izana thought about it, it's true that he won't really gain anything much from marrying Lilaca the bonds between the two kingdoms are already very stable, so there is no need to secure it from a royal marriage. Before he could utter another word, one of the troops men's voice cut in.
" Your Highness, Lady Ravenna, We found something!", He yelled, a monoscope in hand.
