It was cold, and it was dark, and I was scared. Slowly opening my eyes and examining the unfamiliar surroundings; I was plunged into a haze of confusion. Where exactly was I?
Gazing up, all I could see was the menacing stone walls above me,creating a barricade which no light could seep through. My eyes then shifted to the long corridors laid out around me, each passage was seemingly endless as they faded into the darkness.
I inspected them in turn, but as none of them looked particularly inviting, I was unsure of which way to go. I knew I couldn't stay there; I had to get home. Taking a deep breath, I gathered all the courage I could muster and crept into the shadows...
It was all he same! Every path, every corner, there was no difference.
I began to grow more and more panicked. My heart was pounding, blood racing, I quickened my pace and then broke into a run.
But it was no use, I couldn't escape. Realising how hopeless my situation was, my knees grew weak and I collapsed to the ground in despair. It was then that it dawned on me: I wasn't just lost in this maze-
I was trapped!
