Chapter One.  Jack. Frost.

Everywhere around me people are shivering in their fur, heavy, full length coats.  I am wearing a ratty tatty blue shirt, and ripped up khaki color shorts.  It is not my clothes that bring the stares of awe and confusion.  It is my hair.  I've heard it been called snow like.  I like to think of it as a really light blond.  Like really light.  I know it is white, but I don't like to think of it like that.  Anyway, got side tracked there, I'm not cold.  I have no idea why, it's a gift I was born with I guess.  To really understand me, it is probably best to start at the beggining.  When I was born.

Not to brag or anything, but my birth was probably the best birth ever.  My life began with the cracking of ice. I sat up straight, but couldn't seem to be able to.  My white hair floated around me in ghostly white stands.  My 8 yr old body was cradled in blue.  You heard me.  I was eight when I was born.  Like I said, I am not a normal child.  The moon was full and shining as bright as the sun above me.  I realized with a start, I was in water that had ice floating silently in it.  My feet tingled and all of a sudden I was lifted out of the water.  I was levitating just above the ice.  before my blue wide eyes.  It joined and became solid.  As I was set down on the ice I realized I was barefoot.  A crooked staff lay by my feet .  As I picked it up, it turned visibly paler and sparkled..  I, surprised, let go of it.  I cautiously picked it up again and moved it across the ice.  The ice frosted in delicate flower shapes.  I laughed and went skating merrily across the lake painting designs of leaves and hearts in the shape of flowers in my wake.  Next I tried the trees.  They too frosted outward in spirals from where I touched the tree. I laughed again and the wind swept me up way above the ground.  Woah, that is beautiful.  I look down at my art work in amazement.  Did I create that?  I feel the wind lessen.  Uh oh.  Ahhhhhhhhhhh!  Down, down I go crashing through trees till a branch catches me in between the legs.  Owwwww.  Dang, that hurt.  Oh well, all that matters is my powers now.  After learning to control the winds I flew to a nearby village and got the shock of my life.  They couldn't see me.  A little boy ran right through me.  I didn't understand at first, but now I do, they didn't believe in me.   That was a long time ago.  After going through a journey with Pitch, Santa, the tooth fairy, and yes the Easter bunny, that changed.  They believe now.  But that is a different story for a different time.  Now they believe and that is that.

Now, two years later, I was here in Arendelle causing may ham as usual.  This time I was not going to mess up.  Previous times the guards caught me doing stuff I probably wasn't supposed to be doing, but hey, how was I supposed to know.  As I flew silently over the crowds, I looked for the cause of the may ham. Ahhh there.  The king and queen had come out of the palace.  Their daughters are always allowed to, but the king and queen themselves rarely do.  The queen looked awkwardly around her at the crowding people.  I felt a pang of sympathy for her.  No no no no no, Jack Frost does not do stuff for others.  I am a uncontrollable mess.  I sigh, nope, I am going to end up helping her.  I make make the air around her windy, so people don't get closer.  For some reason this makes the queen look even more uncomfortable.  Why?  Oh right, it is cold out, whoops.  I grin. Maybe I am helping and hurting her.  I definitely excel at that.  The queen gasps as the ground at her feet frosts.  That was my doing, but she doesn't know that.  She calls out nervously, "Elsa?".

"In here mother," was the reply.

The queen looks confused, steals one last fearful look at the frost on the ground, and hurries inside, the king at her side.  The guards cast dirty looks at me, but technically I did nothing wrong, so they can't harm me.  One of them ,Watson,  gets called inside.  He come

s back out with his head held high.

Watson booms out, "The gates are closed for the night!"
