• • •Asher's POV
Zach finally is able to stop me, but by that time, the guy is unconscious. I should be worried about what he told Wren, about what she thinks about me now, but the fact that he hurt her worries me more than anything else.
I turn around, looking for her, but she's not anywhere. "Where's Wren?" I yell and Zach, shakes his head and screams, "I don't know." Suddenly came a loud "Move Assholes!" from the crowd and we see Mia's head. "Do you know where she is?" I ask her and Mia nods, "I saw her run out but I couldn't follow her because of the crowd."
My eyes widen and quickly, I run outside, pushing people out of my way.
"Wren?" I shout but there was no answer. I kept jogging until I saw a flash of brown hair. "Oh Birdie." I whispered under my breath when I saw the jagged cut just above her eyebrows. I pressed the sleeve of my shirt to her head and then carry her, smoothing the hair out of her face.
A minute later, Brody, Zach, and Mia come running to me and Mia gasps at the sight of her best friend. "I think we need to take her to the hospital," I say and they all agree. "Yeah her mom works at Altemore Hospital." says Mia, shivering because of the cold.
Immediately, Zach's arms are around her and she smiles up at him. "I don't like the hospital." Zach then mumbles and Mia pats his arm. "We know." I lick my lips to surpress a smile and say, "Who's driving her?" "You are." They all say in unison and I roll my eyes.
They walk me to my car and watch as I set her in the front seat."Wait, how do you drive like that," Brody asks and I grin, getting into the driver's seat and putting Wren's legs onto my lap, her head resting against the window. "Like that." I say and Brody nods, "That could work."
"Meet you there?" Zach breaks the silence and I nod, closing the door and starting up my car. A few times I stare at Wren, and at her peaceful face. Every time I look at her, I always look back to the road with a smile on my face.
When I had reached the parking lot of the Hospital, I slowly inched Wren's legs back so that she was in a upright position, then got out of the car, and carried her again. Soon, Zach's car pulls in and they all come out. "Come on!" Mia motions toward the hospital doors and Zach slowly backs away,
"You know what?" He smiles, "You guys go in, I'll just wait out-" He stops talking once he notices Mia's glare.
"Ok come on." All of us walk in and the cold air turned into the warm, pleasant air of the heater. The lady at the desk looked surprised that I was carrying an unconscious girl, but got over it fast. I guess working at a hospital she's seen all kinds of weird stuff.
