Mission: Run

Chapter l

As I got off the plan smoke filled my lungs. I knew something was not right. I ran to the entrance of the base. I looked around on the floor seeing all dead bodies. I frantically checked to see if anyone was still breathing. As I was about to give up I felt a faint pulse in a guys arm .I looked at his face which was covered with ash and blood. I heard a loud crash coming at the end of the hallway. I quickly grabbed some supplies and the guy as I ran to the woods. When I got to the woods I set him down. I could still feel his pulse . I set the supplies down to check his wounds I realized blood coming from his chest . I press the wound to stop the bleeding, a minute later his eyes opened his breathing is back to normal. We gasped ,he scooted back and started to cough.

He looked in my eyes and asked "How did you do that?"

"Did what?" I asked

"The thing that you just did. The last thing I remember was dying". He said

"What do you mean I thought you were passed out". I replied.

He shook his head no. I bit my lip and grabbed a damp cloth and started wiping away the ash and blood off his face.

"So..." I said trying to change the subject. "What happened?"

He bit his lip trying not to cry " Men wearing black and red came in they blew up the side of the base. They killed everyone who was alive. I was trying to protect my younger sister when they-they took her and killed her in front of me." His voice broke was he choked out the last sentence. "I tried to save her its my fault she died."

"I'm so sorry" I said trying to hold my tears back . "But their was nothing you could do you tried your best."

Tears started to come down his face.

"You said you had a sister was her name Brook?" I asked hoping it was not.

He nodded his head sniffling
"ASH! Is that you?"I ask I was mad and happy at the same time.

He looked up at me "SPEAR YOU'RE ALIVE!" He smiled. I smiled and wrapped my arms around him tightly.

"Thank god" I muttered as my eyes filled up with tears. "I could not imagine loosing you."

He tightened his grip and whispered to me "I could not imagen losing you too."

It was getting dark I looked at him and said "It's getting late we should find somewhere to sleep for tonight. Somewhere farther from the base."

"Your right Spear." He said with a smile. "I know a good spot."

We walked until we came to a tree in the woods which looked so pretty. It had pink flowers and a dark brown trunk . It seamed to glisten in the moon light.

"I turned to Ash why are we here?"I asked

"Spear this is where we are staying "
I looked at him and smiled "Ash it's beautiful."
He smiled back and nocked on the tree lightly causing no sound. The tree opened leading to a hide out.

"Ladies first"
I looked down and jumped. I moved and he jumped down after me.

"Well we have a big day a head of us Spear we better get some rest."

"Your right."

He led me to a bed room their was 2 uniforms on the bed.

"Thanks for the clothes Ash"

"Your welcome"

"Where are you going to sleep Ash?"

"Theres another bed room next to yours"

I looked across the room and I saw a door that connected the two room.

"Well get some sleep see you in the morning Spear."

"Ok goodnight Ash."

I gave him one last hug and went to bed.
